In vaccine news, Moderna trumps Pfizer:
Moderna vaccine has a 94.5% effective rate (Pfizer 90%),
Moderna's can be stored at -20C while Pfizer's needs -75C;
Moderna's can last 30 days, Pfizer just 5

The big issue is how supercold Pfizer's requires, which is not common.
Both utilize messenger RNA.

I propose that we nominate daily an "Asshole of the Day".

Nominees should be partisan hacks in the news who cannot contain themselves, and are so entrenched in their partisanship that they really can't see what a flaming asshole they really are.

They insist on going the extra mile to insure that they are indeed the "Asshole of the Day"!

Here is my nominee for today: Fox's Charles Payne on Thanksgiving: "One of the big, overarching stories with all of this has been the isolation story, the separation of families ... The notion that you're gonna come to my house and count how many people are there, that is separation of families."

Thomas Payne would likely have vomited at this display of asshole-ness.

Please feel free to nominate your "AOTD", and refrain from choosing other posters here. (That's too easy.)

That’s a great image. I wish donald nothing but internal bleeding and endless shooting pain.

The contest you propose gave them a glimmer, but your final rule squashed the chance that Red or Kiid would finally win something for once in their lives.

They’ll just have to stick with their usual awards for participation.

Probably anyone at OANN will do,  in a pinch.

And of course Rush could be a contender on any day in the past three decades.

Messenger RNA is fragile, there are many enzymes that want to tear it apart.   These will be the first mRNA vacs ever used,  and the first that will be,  hopefully, approved by the FDA.

Apparently you can transport the Pfizer vac with what are nicknamed "pizza boxes" -- special containers with dry ice.   The contrast shows how different vacs will work in different regions.   Pfizers will work in densely populated areas with good storage infra and more rapid turnover,  while Moderna's will be better for remote locations where vac may sit longer.  A more conventional approach to its transport and storage will be okay with Moderna's vac, which will be of great importance in less developed nations.   And there's a couple dozen more vacs in various stages of testing, so that will likely offer more varieties for different geographic areas.

If Biden's lead expands 68348 votes from where CNN has it now, he'll have doubled Clinton's lead over Trump in popular vote.

My nominee for AotD is Ted Cruz for calling Sen. Brown an ass for requesting masks on the Senate floor.
