I enjoyed Kiev, Prague, and Copenhagen. I think Kiev is... a bit unstable in some important ways at the moment. As a former New Hampshirite, I can't say that Copenhagen's temperature is especially daunting.
I didn't find my fairly brief time in Australia particularly moving.
Hong Kong was probably my favorite of the five far east cities I visited, but for some reason right now it does not seem especially appealing! I'd probably have an easier time landing a job in Tokyo than any of the others (Seoul, Taipei, Singapore, Hong Kong/Kowloon), but neither of my work experiences there made me love dealing with its... approach to life, in or out of my fields. Nor does it seem like a good place for retiring, should I ever wish to do so.
If I were skipping major cities, then I could see myself in Neustift im Stubaital, which I thoroughly enjoyed but which lacked a certain... substance to it - but I was there in pre-internet days and the lack of ready books would be less of a problem now than it was then. And Innsbruck is a lovely small city. Too, my wife's Yiddish and my lingering high school German might allow us to exist as other than tourists, which would be nice.
