Especially greatly expanded testing and better follow-up and coordination.
A lot of the Trump Admin testing has been useless because the lag time to get results has been too long and there is inadequate followup, such as isolation and contact tracing.

China relied on the quick cheap antigen tests since Feb/March on.
Identify possible infections and those without symptoms got more accurate slower followup tests.

A coordinated national strategy can do a much better job.
Just because the vaccine roll out is starting doesn't mean that there won't be another 5+ months of infections.  And as immunity wears off, testing will again be in demand.

Also, he was described as "eccentric"...and he was also quoted as saying that he can "smell crime".

Covid impairs the sense of smell, so he'll have to feel around in the dark for it.

Over the past week, The Washington Post asked all 249 current Republican House members and Senators a simple question: Who won the election?

Just 29 responded. Of that group, 27 -- whether in prior public statements or in response to the Post's survey -- said they believed that President-elect Joe Biden had won while two (GOP Reps. Mo Brooks of Alabama and Paul Gosar of Arizona) said that Donald Trump won.

Which means that 220 House and Senate Republicans refused to take a position on who won the 2020 election. Which is 88% of all of the Republicans in Congress. Which is stunning.

Another day, another Trump anti-democracy lawsuit tossed out by a judge. Whether Clinton, Bush, Obama, or Trump appointees or elected or appointed within the states, and regardless of state, they have all consistently said that there was no demonstration of fraud or error, just claims made without substantiation:

A federal judge has rejected a last-minute push by Michigan Republicans who sought an emergency order to overturn President-elect Joe Biden's victory in the state, saying the effort aimed to "ignore the will of millions of voters."

The suit seemed "less about achieving the relief" the GOP plaintiffs sought and "more about the impact of their allegations on people’s faith in the democratic process and their trust in our government," wrote Detroit U.S. District Court Judge Linda Parker of Michigan's Eastern District.

"The People have spoken," wrote Parker, who issued the ruling in the early morning hours of Monday, a week before the nation's presidential electors will meet.

But the plaintiffs presented only "speculation and conjecture" that votes for Trump were destroyed, discarded or switched to votes for Biden, wrote Parker, who was nominated by President Barack Obama.

I wish we had cause to believe this meant the GOP is dying. We were told the same things in a couple different previous elections, but without the promised result in the following election cycle.

It ought to mean that.

The combination of the vast numbers of elected GOP officials who refuse to publicly acknowledge both the Biden win and that the efforts by Trump to undermine our election system and to overturn the votes of the public and the inability or unwillingness of even those who were not never-Trumpers but who have called the president out for his lies and his efforts to acknowledge that this is exactly who the majority of the media have been pointing out that Trump is and always have been points to a group too bound to partisanship and bias to be put in a position of power again.

But the very democracy that I want protected means that this aggressively denialist set of GOP officials and their likely successors in that failed philosophy are going to continue to be a major presence in our process for a long time to come.

Sure, it isn't the "old" GOP and we could change the parties name to Grand Old Conspiracy Theorists, but the truth is that they ain't going away nor do they seem to be getting weaker.

We do not all have rich families who will give us business loans, so there needs to be places where the poor people can go to get honest business loans to get started, to open a restaurant or a night club, or to open a dog kennel, or whatever. One place where the poor people can get business loans is the Bank of New York. The Bank of New York was founded by Alexander Hamilton so that America could get in debt to itself, instead of borrowing money from foreign nations. The United States government took out a loan from the Bank of New York soon after the USA was formed, to pay the paychecks of President George Washington and to pay the paychecks of the rest of the people in government. The Bank of New York was the first company listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

There needs to be places where the poor Americans can go to get business loans, to open a restaurant, or to open a dog kennel, or whatever. Americans need access to business loans.

You can go to college and learn how to run a business, and then you can get a business loan after college to open your own business.

We also need to teach the young people how to file for copyrights and patents. And how to profit from intellectual property. Ben Franklin had a lot of copyrights and patents, it is the American way.

I own two copyrights, one for my poetry book, and one for my movie script. Simply call the copyright and patent office at the Los Angeles public library and they will help you. You have to send your stuff to the Library of Congress, and then it is protected.

This has turned me right off camping, and boondocking in 'van life'.
I've always thought campers of any kind are sitting ducks for the bad people intent on evil and super evil.

The News & Observer reported that the death of Enrique Roman-Martinez was ruled a homicide, but that the cause of death of the young man remains unknown as only a head was recovered.

Roman-Martinez, a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division from Chino, California was reported missing on 23 May by friends while on a Memorial Day weekend camping trip, reports said.
