Oh, CANADA!
Multi-week lockdowns don't seem to be working
In recent weeks the tone from public health officials around the country has been the same: They are pleading with Canadians to stay home, stay away from each other and wear masks.
That has been backed by various degrees of lockdowns and new restrictions in cities and towns throughout the country, including larger urban centers like Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. But there is little evidence the lockdowns and restrictions are having a significant impact on the infection rate

Pleading?
Various degrees of lockdowns?
That doesn't work...you have to
make people stay home,
make them wear masks in public,
enact a total lockdown [with some strict exemptions],
enact a curfew.
Go to work, go to the supermarket, and go home.
No visiting granny at her house, no popping next door for a cup of sugar either.
Ban people from driving around the state, they can drive to work by themselves in the car or only with people who live in their home.
No car pooling, no taking the neighbours.
Work from home.
11 people in a train carriage.
9 people in a bus.
Leave home to exercise for one hour max, only in your own district...no stopping, no loitering.
Social distancing everywhere, enforced by the cops.
Ban people visiting other people in their homes [sweethearts exempted]...State Premier; "I'm not here to kill romance."
And
issue large fines for sinners who think the rules don't apply to them.
Two people out of their homes and sitting in a car on a street, for no good reason?
Have the cops fine them each $1000.
That's how you do it.
