The Dems "you guys are racist" and their seemingly not caring about inner city blacks killing each other is quite difficult to balance.
No it is not, because the second half is untrue. Except in the right wing bubble.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/national-security/trump-appointee-pushes-out-voa-director-biden-takes-office-n1250539

President Donald Trump's appointee to oversee U.S.-funded broadcasters has reassigned the acting director of Voice of America to make way for a political partisan just weeks before the Biden administration takes office.

Michael Pack, CEO of the U.S. Agency for Global Media, the parent agency for VOA and other international media outlets, announced on Wednesday he will replace a career journalist running the Voice of America with Robert Reilly, a conservative commentator who briefly served as the director of the Voice of America during George W. Bush's administration.

The reassignment of the acting director of VOA, Elez Biberaj, is the latest move by Pack, a conservative filmmaker who worked with former Trump adviser Steve Bannon, that appears aimed at installing partisan loyalists in senior positions before President-elect Joe Biden enters the White House in January...

...The next administration is expected to replace Pack once Biden is sworn in on Jan. 20, but replacing Reilly could be more difficult under proposed legislation.

Language in the defense spending bill passed by the House would require the CEO of the U.S. Agency for Global Media to gain approval from an advisory board before naming new directors of VOA, Radio Free Asia and other federally funded media outlets. The proposed language was designed as a check on the power of the CEO and came as a response by lawmakers to Pack's actions since he took over in June.

The incoming VOA director, Reilly, is the author of such books as "Making Gay Okay: How Rationalizing Homosexual Behavior is Changing Everything," raising concerns among VOA reporters that he could seek to promote a partisan political view on the broadcaster's coverage.

"Tokyo Reilly".

The Dems "you guys are racist" and their seemingly not caring about inner city blacks killing each other is quite difficult to balance.

Yup!

If it were true, not just a product of your fertile imagination, it would be difficult for us to balance, too.

But it isn't.

And you only pretend to care about inner city blacks as a stick to beat us with, not as a real thing.

Again, no news.

Dems painting Republicans as being uncaring of mass shootings is also ridiculous speak.

Thoughts and Prayers.

Do you prefer "unwilling to act or to allow others to act to prevent it, while shedding crocodile tears" for a descriptor?

Your party will not allow a ban on weapons that make mass killings easier, that enable easier (and therefore more frequent) suicides, and that lead to accidental deaths aplenty.

Your party BANNED the CDC from investigating guns as a cause of deaths.

Your party FORBADE ATF from computerizing their gun tracking records.

Thoughts and prayers.

No action.

If kiid had posted about Cameron Duncan I would have gladly joined in the outrage.

Last Wednesday night he was traveling in a car driven by his dad when he was shot multiple times
and killed near the intersection of Central and Southern Avenues SE which is literally just a couple blocks away from here.

Police say there was more than one shooter but as of yet have announced no suspects even though a reward of $60K has been posted.

Cameron was 15 months old.

Three juveniles shot in SE in the last couple of weeks.

Guns are too damn easy to come by.

Waiting on a foodbank line is doing the trump shuffle.

A morgue truck is a trump mobile presidential library.

Terminal illness is a trump protective glow.

A baby cage is a trump hotel.

So is a rat nest.

So is a termite nest.

Getting fingered for a crime is receiving a trump pardon.

He has definitely had his effect on our culture.

Oh, CANADA!

Multi-week lockdowns don't seem to be working...

Pleading?
Various degrees of lockdowns?

That doesn't work...you have to make people stay home, make them wear masks in public, enact a total lockdown [with some strict exemptions], enact a curfew.
Go to work, go to the supermarket, and go home.
No visiting granny at her house, no popping next door for a cup of sugar either.
Ban people from driving around the state, they can drive to work by themselves in the car or only with people who live in their home.
No car pooling, no taking the neighbours.
Work from home.....

You're looking good this morning.  Have you been working out?

It's how Australia today became/is basically Covid community-transmission free.
A large percentage of the workforce was working from home.
Video conferencing, telephones, computers.
Schools all closed...Zoom classes instead.
State borders closed...to road, air, and sea traffic.
Returning international travellers 'locked up' in hotels for 14 days.
"We're all in this together" - ScoMo.

"Do the right thing".
"It will be difficult".
Think ScoMo mentioned "war", "sacrifice", and "hardships of the past".
"For the greater good".

More difficult in US, Canada, etc with larger populations though.

https://www.vice.com/en/article/wx8geb/18-red-states-are-demanding-the-supreme-court-declare-trump-winner-of-the-election

ONE red state is demanding it - Texas.

The rest of them are waving their pom-poms, with Amicus briefs that have next to zero weight for this kind of case. (See also the SCOTUS ruling yesterday, despite Amicus briefs from all sorts of GOP hand-wringers.)

And that one red state's suit has less coherence or reason than a Ward "LOL."

It helps to have a functioning health and welfare apparatus and a less virulent conservative culture.

Rupy didn’t let Ailes piss in the pool as much in Australia as he did here, probably because he thinks of Australia as his pool and doesn’t want so much piss in it.

"the vaccine was our goal. That was number one because that was the way it ends, plus you do have an immunity, you develop immunity over a period of time.

"And I hear we're close to 15%. I'm hearing that, and that's terrific, that's a very powerful vaccine in itself."

——- Donald J. Trump

To reach “herd immunity” millions would have to die... guess who would do the most dying?

Lose a few million elderly folks?

Save billions on Soc. Sec. and Medicare!

Lose a few million black and brown folks?

Problem solved.
