Quid = Paxton files frivolous suit to help delegitimize the Biden presidency

Quo = trump pardons Paxton

It’s deja vu all over again. Somebody get my bat.

(Hey Larry, it looks like the Knicks might be planning to play actual basketball this year and to be kinda good in the future)

Nice aside from the piece

“Marco wanted to maintain the more traditional, Biblical marriage of one man fucking a porn star while his third wife is in labor.”

President-elect Joe Biden's choice of an Obama administration insider with no military or health care background to head the Department of Veterans Affairs has been met with a mix of qualified support, non-commitment, and stunned disappointment by veterans groups.

https://www.military.com/daily-news/2020/12/11/steep-learning-curve-muted-response-va-secretary-nominee-veterans-groups.html

Looks like vets are on the backburner again, don't even get a high energy minority member. Just a Joe schmo secondary political hack.

Shit.

Steep learning curve?

The White House Chief of Staff is the “straw that stirs the drink”

If anyone knows how to make Government work it’s a pro like McDonough.

But then again, you bought into Trump’s BS about what he had done for vets even though hat shit was already in the pipeline.

Luee really likes the Trump guy:
https://www.militarytimes.com/news/pentagon-congress/2020/12/11/major-veterans-groups-call-for-va-secretarys-ouster-following-damning-report/

Another story on the McDonough appointment:
https://www.militarytimes.com/news/pentagon-congress/2020/12/11/bidens-va-secretary-pick-promises-to-fight-like-hell-for-veterans-and-their-families/

I'm surprised by the appointment, but given the job the insiders have done, I am not convinced it is a bad move at all.

https://www.newsweek.com/gop-group-issues-new-consumer-protection-alert-ad-over-trump-election-fund-1554295

Quote
The group Republicans for the Rule of Law have released a new ad set to air on the conservative networks Fox News and Newsmax warning voters not to donate to President Donald Trump's "Official Election Defense Fund" now that all 50 states have certified their election results, all but guaranteeing that President-elect Joe Biden inauguration.

"Attention! Consumer protection alert!" the ad begins, police sirens blaring through its one-minute length. "Beware of a new scam from Donald Trump targeting 2020 voters requesting money to be used for an Official Election Defense Fund."

"Do not be fooled," the ad continues. "Joe Biden will be the next president of the United States. The election has been certified by all 50 states. Over 50 Trump lawsuits and counting have been thrown out. Attorney General Bill Barr announced the Justice Department found no widespread voter fraud. Don't get fooled by Donald Trump's post-election scam."

It's not going to happen, for all that they deserve it.

And the ones from the states attacked by Texas who signed on, if they truly believe there was election fraud in their states, should simply decline to be seated, to force a new election that can be protected from the fraud they claim got them elected!

That's not going to happen, either, because none of them has a shred of integrity, as far as anybody can tell.

You won't hear them back down, apologize, or otherwise take personal responsibility for trying to overturn the election.

https://www.cnn.com/2020/12/09/us/connecticut-high-schools-black-latino-studies-trnd/index.html

Connecticut is the first state to require high schools to offer Black and Hispanic studies.

Great. They can study how the Spain and Portugal built the African slave trade, and forced religion, language, and culture on indigenous people whom they also enslaved; well, the indigenous people who survived the diseases that they brought with them.

Should go well.

Why wouldn’t it?

YOU know why.

You are insinuating teaching history warts and all will be problematic.

You should back up that insinuation.

“Support your assertions. Don't be like Red or Larry.”

Yeah, right.

Go fuck yourself

I suppose you think you just made an argument.

Delusional Larry fails to grasp the looniest of the left.

All we need to do is look at Burbank, CA schools and their recent banning books like "The Cay" and "Of Mice and Men" and "Huckleberry Finn" to see why things will not go well.

Regarding "Man & Woman of the Year" at Time. I was unaware that they had THIS category:

But I am glad that they did.

And it just gets better

Texas Asks SCOTUS to Declare Election
in 4 Battleground States Unconstitutional

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed suit on Tuesday against Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, claiming the four states exploited the pandemic to justify ignoring election laws.

In papers filed with the U.S. Supreme Court, Paxton claimed the states unlawfully enacted last-minute changes, which skewed the results of the general election.

The papers also allege that the majority of the rushed decisions, made by local officials, were not approved by the state legislatures, thereby circumventing the Constitution.

And? Nothing affected the outcome, since all voters were subject to the same condition. And the Texas AG will be reminded that the time to raise any objections - if indeed he would ever have standing which i doubt - would be BEFORE the vote.

Justice Whiskeypriest nailed it.

After NFL players or staff test positive, their samples are sent to the lab where Fauver and his colleagues extract the RNA from the virus. That allows them to try and sequence as much of the genome as possible in a process that takes 36-48 hours.

The sequences are informative because the virus periodically mutates, and over time those changes are significant enough that variants of the virus are distinguishable from one another. It’s not believed that these variants exhibit clinical differences—you won’t get more or less sick based on which one you get. (Some research has indicated one mutation, known as D614G, may be more transmissible.) Rather, these mutations serve as markers that can help trace the virus from person to person.

“The best way to think about it is like an advanced method of fingerprinting the virus,” said Dirk Dittmer, a professor in the department of microbiology and immunology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Those genetic markers flagged how the virus ripped through the Ravens. While three of the team’s infections showed different variants indicating those infections came outside the team, one genotype raced through the club.

In a previous statement, Ravens president Dick Cass said the “fourth was a highly-contagious strain”—but researchers say that’s not quite the case.

That is a very understandable misinterpretation of the science,” said Bronwyn MacInnis, director of pathogen genomic surveillance at the Broad Institute in Cambridge, Mass.

It’s not that this genotype of coronavirus had a series of mutations that made it more contagious. Fauver, from the Yale lab that works with the NFL, noted “there’s nothing in this data that would suggest there’s something that would increase contagiousness.”

Instead what matters is whether people abide by measures such as social distancing and wearing face coverings.Contagiousness is more a function of behavior,”
Sills said.

I can now personally endorse Boz's "you do not want to get this" -- I find myself, yesterday, in the cohort that gets covid as an intestinal illness,  with general muscle cramps.   It is profoundly unpleasant.   Fuck you,  Kristi Noem.
