But... Kid will just believe you and not get the humor, Kam.

Now that I have responded to it so he can see it, anyway...

I have added a new topic, using the former Immigration forum, called Upon Deeper Consideration:

That link has a description of both intended content and intended dialog. Please join me there if you would like to have conversations on substance, not personality, concerning bigger issues with more meat to the exchanges of our thoughts.

Only Larry would see someone encouraging him to cope and get help for his anger issues as a threat.

I've worked as a counselor.   What you're doing is neither encouraging nor helping,  but rather engaging in a passive-aggressive attack that condescends.  And asserts your sense of superiority.   The technical term is "being an asshole."

https://www.newyorker.com/news/q-and-a/why-representative-mike-johnson-thinks-that-the-election-isnt-over

This guy actually seems reasonable and smart,  which is what makes the interview so surreal to me.   He truly believes Trump is all about protecting the Constitution and our election process.

Smart, he seems. Reasonable he does not.

He talks about the need to be intellectually honest, but when he talks about all the lost lawsuits, he mentions that in some they lost on standing... but he fails to address that in the bulk of them, which were tried on merits, there was no evidence of fraud or error or anything and even that in many of them no accusation of fraud was ever made!

This is not about inadequacy of lawyers, but lack of any (meaningful) evidence of fraud.

He talks about the Texas suit, but ignores the point that Steve Bullock made that if this was really about the constitutionality of the process, rather than the loss by Trump, the suit would have included places like Montana and California, where the result is not in doubt, but according to the Texas description the process was.

And he fails to acknowledge that the powers wielded were given to those various bodies by the legislatures and if those legislatures had not wished those bodies to retain that power, they could have taken it back... which they did not.

The PA lawsuits come to mind.

Agree,  hence my calling it "surreal."

For reasons that remain mysterious (hint, it’s sexism!) The Wall Street Journal decided to publish a humiliating op-ed from a guy whose main credential seems to be that he is a man. This man had some unsolicited advice for future first lady Jill Biden.

Michelle Obama faced misogynoir, a vicious and specific kind of racialized sexism targeted at Black women, and received mountains of criticism for simply asking people to (gasp!) “move” when she traveled around the country doing controversial things like planting gardens, improving school lunches and having a dance-off with Big Bird.

Antrim County, Michigan — solid red Trump country — raised eyebrows on election night when the results came in showing Biden beating Trump by 63% for the Democrat and only 37% for the Republican. (Trump had beaten Hillary in Antrim by 61-38).

Republicans demanded a recount and got one on Nov. 5.

Oops! It showed. Trump winning this time but by only 57-43

---------

And so, Allied reports that "we conclude that the errors are so significant that they call into question the integrity and legitimacy of the results in the Antrim County 2020 election to the point that the results are not certifiable. Because the same machines and software are used in 48 other counties in Michigan, this casts doubt on the integrity of the entire election in the state of Michigan.

Sorry but if you can't see his posts here for what and who they represent, then you were never much of a counselor.

Larry has clearly shown he is a bigot, and he is also an extremely angry individual.

Just because he wears his righteous victimhood as a cloak, it does not follow that he is a victim or that he is righteous.

He's just a guy with many excuses for personal failure,, the primary one being it's always someone else's fault.

He's a proven anti-Semitic angry loser with narcissistic tendencies.

You can buy his shit. Your choice.

But I see him exactly as he has been presenting himself for years.

Larry, Larry, Larry.

Clearly you have yet to confront the bias and prejudice that your informs you pitiable soul.

Work on it, before you decide to continue to lecture others here, particularly in the uniquely hypocritical style of yours.

We all have faults. The difference between us? i recognize mine and try to work on them. And there's still much work to do.

But you? Your life is marked by a deep-seated anger and hatred. It's quite sad, really. Quite sad. And it's eating you up inside.

Get help.

Good luck, Larry. You'll need it.

How long have you been spilling this drivel in here?

You’re getting back to the level of hysteria when you told me I could ease my pain by killing myself.

Watch your tone, boy. These days those kind of communications can be prosecuted.

Only Larry would see someone encouraging him to cope and get help for his anger issues as a threat.

Such a victim.

Bruh...

Youre not encouraging shit. You’re trying to make yourself feel better at my expense. That would require me giving a shit.

Give it up.

Let’s talk about you for a second. You are an asshole, an absolute fucking asshole.

That makes any pronouncements you make suspect, useful only for rendering an asshole’s eye view of the subject that’s set you off.

News Item

The San Francisco Unified School District has decided to rename an elementary school named after California democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein.

Feinstein Elementary is just one  of 44 schools that will be renamed because the district deemed their namesakes "inappropriate" in October.

What did Feinstein do to incur the wrath of the District?

36 years ago when she was Mayor  she ordered the raising of  a Confederate flag in front of San Francisco City Hall.  The flag was a replacement for one that had been destroyed by protesters.

News Item:

Moscow media would like Russia to offer asylum to Donald Trump.

What did Trump do to earn the appreciation of the Nation?

4 years ago when he became president he welcomed the involvement of the Russians in West Wing policy making. It was a replacement of policies established under Obama.

128,500 people voted on the first day of early voting in the general election.

168,800 people voted yesterday on the first day of early voting in the special election.

Let that sink in.

As oil has noted, you have over the years proven yourself to be a passive-aggressive asshe in those times when you are not being an aggressive asshole.

And with your decades long history of race baiting your calling anyone else a bigot is hilarious.
