Officials in multiple states said they were alerted late Wednesday that their second shipments of Pfizer-BioNTech’s vaccine had been drastically cut for next week, sparking widespread confusion and conflicting statements from Pfizer and federal officials about who was at fault.

A senior administration official, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal plans, said the revised estimates were the result of states’ requesting an expedited timeline for locking in their allocations for the following week; notification of how many doses they could order each week was consequently advanced from Friday to Tuesday. Since Pfizer is producing doses daily, the official said, fewer doses were available Tuesday than will be available on Friday.

But Pfizer released a statement Thursday that seemed to contradict that explanation, saying the company faced no production difficulties and had many more doses immediately available than were being distributed.

“We have millions more doses sitting in our warehouse but, as of now, we have not received any shipment instructions for additional doses,” the statement read.

Georgia's secretary of state has relented and announced a statewide signature-matching effort for the November election.

President Donald Trump's campaign claimed voter fraud and has requested that Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger order such an audit since the election ended.

Signatures for absentee ballots in all of Georgia's 159 counties will be reviewed, per The Washington Times.

Raffensperger's announcement came less than three weeks before the Jan. 5 Georgia U.S. Senate runoff election for both seats in the upper chamber. The election will determine which party will hold a Senate majority.

The University of Georgia will partner with the secretary's office to analyze a random sampling of signatures from each county for mail-in ballots during the November election, a Thursday press release said. The audit is expected to wrap up in two weeks.

Barack nominated him for SCOTUS but McConnell kept the Senate from giving consent. That paved the way for 3 new SCOTUS Justices when Trump became President.

Now President-Elect Biden is eyeing Garland for Attorney General. But democrats see a risk given the  drubbing they have taken at McConnell's hands over court appointments during the past 12 years.

Garland is a major part of the DC Federal Appeals Court, the second most in importance to SOTUS itself.

If dems don’t win the runoffs in Georgia and Garland moves to the Biden Cabinet McConnell will never fill the vacant DC court vacancy.

Hence the feeling of pain for Garland.
