The Science Josh likes to ignore

Estimation of US Children’s Educational Attainment and Years of Life Lost Associated With Primary School Closures During the Coronavirus Disease 2019 Pandemic

These findings suggest that the decision to close US public primary schools in the early months of 2020 may be associated with a decrease in life expectancy for US children.

We’re adding to the long list of crimes trump is responsible for as a result of his misadministration.

Barton’s bars are not so low that you can manage to clear them.

We blame Raygun for the huge gaps in your education, not trump.

And yes, like I said - she KICKED ASS 2 years later, as evidently the chick that was in didnt do such a dandy job.

Native American, too - but you only hear about the Democrats of that kind.

She's a great American story in NM.

Republicans win and whine anyway.

Operation Warp Blame official responsible for vaccine overcount.

Quote
The chief operating officer of the government’s vaccine accelerator on Saturday took responsibility for overstating the number of Pfizer coronavirus shots that states would have available to them.

Operation Warp Speed originally estimated up to 7.3 million doses could be available in the second week of vaccine distribution. Instead, about 4.3 million shots are ready — a discrepancy that has left governors scrambling to revise their vaccination plans.

NOT the storm.

OWS bears responsibility for the mess.

About shell companies:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/u-s-congress-bans-anonymous-shell-companies/ar-BB1bRa7L

Quote
The U.S Senate on Friday passed a bill overhauling anti-money laundering rules and banning anonymous shell companies, a victory for law enforcement and rights groups which have long sought changes to make it easier to police illicit money flows.

The bill requires most companies to report their true beneficial owners to the government, allows greater information sharing between law enforcement and regulators, and authorizes the use of new suspicious activity monitoring tools.

Cracking down on legal vehicles that allow criminals and terrorists to move money around the world has become a pressing issue for policymakers as a slew of scandals in recent years has revealed the true extent of illicit global money flows.

The United States' weak rules on disclosing corporate owners have allowed criminals to use legal entities to shuffle their cash around the world, according to the authorities.

In 2011, the World Bank found that the United States each year produced nearly 10 times as many legal entities with anonymous owners as 41 tax havens combined.

"The global law enforcement and national security community will reap enormous benefits from anti-money laundering policy that stops bad actors from using shell companies to shepherd crime across international borders," said Greg Baer, CEO of the Bank Policy Institute, which lobbied for the changes.

Friday's bill, included as part of a broader defense funding package, was approved by the U.S. Senate after the House of Representatives passed it earlier this week. The bill now heads to President Donald Trump. While Trump had suggested he could veto the bill over separate policy disputes, the Senate vote of 84 to 13 provides more than the two-thirds majority needed to override a veto.

If signed into law, the bill should help banks by allowing them to share the burden of identifying and tracking potential illegal activity.

How do you miss an estimate by over 40% when you have all the information, public and confidential, to fucking nail production down to the to the vial?

maybe if Trump hadn't been fabricating fake conspiracy theories, filing nuisance lawsuits, and hiding in the bunker, he and his team of Warped and Twisted Covid Commanders wouldn't have provided bullshit estimates to the states, making their job of commiunicating with the public and innoculating people on a schedule known to all..

I guess undermining our faith in elections, undermining our democracy, and plotting the coup to overthrow the legitimately elected government of the US takes a lot of time.

As posted before, the drugs companies worked 24-7 produce a safe and tested vaccine to the public, and it took only 1 day after the vaccine shot photo ops for Team Trump to fuck-up and under-deliver on their end to oversee the delivery of the product, where and when.

1-fucking day.

its almost impossible to be more of a inept motherfucker than Trump is.

So the Trump Admin was laser-focused on vaccines, set up this big project to handle it.  And right out of the gate got the distribution numbers totally wrong.  So that states are left changing plans last minute to deal with getting 40% fewer doses than they were told to expect.  Trump must have gone to Jared ...

It's all a rushed process anyway, and this certainly just makes more of a mess of state planning.  What the Feds should simply do is not hold back the 2nd dose for three weeks and ship all of it out upfront.  That way they would be sending out roughly the number of doses the states were expecting.  Pfizer says that all production is going fine.  Keep a minor reserve of 500K as was planned.

4.3M doses are ready while they were only intending to send out 2.9M initially.
Send out the 2.9M, have a reserve of 1.4M.  Actually that was my initial proposal anyway.  You don't need to hold back a full 2nd dose for everybody who got the first dose.  That's just 3 weeks wasted.  A simple adjustment in strategy and this 40% shortfall could have been covered with the same number inoculated and no change for the states in number of doses received.  Pfizer is supposed to be churning out nearly 5M doses per week, as far as I can tell.

Republicans can PR badly with a string of lies that rubes like Red lap up. They have no aptitude for making or executing policy. Low rent crime is all they are good for.
