The income phaseout is ridiculous, that's reason enough for both parties to dump it.   My AGI is under 75K, but I really don't need the $600.  Sure that's true for many Americans.   Instead of $600 for almost everyone, make it $2000 for everyone whose last recorded AGI is below the poverty line.

Speaking of that most excellent vaccine roll-out.

I keep waiting to hear that they are shutting down vaccine stations and requiring voter ID cards.

Like many of his feckless (coincidentally one of his favorite epithets) Republican pals, Red is ramping up his anti-deficit posturing after four years of dormancy  (can complaints about "socialist cocksuckers" be far behind?). I imagine he'll have all the bugs in his diatribes ironed out on January 20.

From the cited article.

Fran Lundell, 70, and her husband, Andy, 73, were among those who successfully signed up, and they were vaccinated after waiting in their cars at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando on Tuesday.
When can YOU get the vaccine? It depends on your health, occupation and where you live

They said they went to the county website to schedule an appointment as soon as it was announced. Fran got an appointment quickly, but it took Andy four or five attempts to get a slot.
"We think we're lucky," Fran Lundell said. "We thought maybe March or April we might get it, but this is fantastic to get it, certainly."
Jim Seltzer, who was also vaccinated Wednesday, praised the job the county did.
"I thought it was very well organized. I thought they did an excellent job," he said. "I mean, it was a long wait, but you know, I expected that."

Red has weird sense of "humor."

There's nothing like fucking over the hungry, sick, homeless and vulnerable, after raising their hopes for some additional relief, as Mitch had done, to get a good chuckle from Red.

Its like finding an extra present under the tree.

More pain and suffering for the poor!

Be fair. Red has not used the word "feckless" in about 22 days short of four years.

And it is nice to know the Red thinks giving 2000 to everyone below the poverty line is a Republican position.

Heh.  Calling me a Republican is a large bug,  hope he's got a vat of DDT.

I remain socially Liberal,  fiscally conservative,  quixotically libertarian (pointless drug wars must end)  and ideologically Independent.   As for Dems and GOP,  a plague on both their pandering showboating dysfunctional houses.

Red may not be chuckling if Georgians understand, which they probably do, why they're not getting $2k, they should understand Mitch is the fucking grinch and Repubs really don't give a shit about the vulnerable people in Gerogia or this country who could use help from their government.

Red may be schumering instead.

So Josh Hawley is going to object to the electoral college both, along with some far right congressctitters. I think this is great. I want every single Senator and Representative on record on whether they support democracy and whether they support fair and free elections, or whether they support turning the US into a petty dictatorship. And I want their names known, published and remembered. The American people need to make them pay at the ballot box.

Red is still pissed at the country for not getting behind George Wallace. He’s not smart or flexible enough to get past it.

And who qualifies for the first phase of vaccinations
