All 10 living former US defense secretaries declared that the US presidential election is over in a forceful public letter published in The Washington Post on Sunday as President Donald Trump continues to deny his election loss to Joe Biden.

The letter -- signed by Dick Cheney, James Mattis, Mark Esper, Leon Panetta, Donald Rumsfeld, William Cohen, Chuck Hagel, Robert Gates, William Perry and Ashton Carter -- amounts to a remarkable show of force against Trump's subversion efforts just days before Congress is set to count Electoral College votes.
Quote
"Our elections have occurred. Recounts and audits have been conducted. Appropriate challenges have been addressed by the courts. Governors have certified the results. And the electoral college has voted. The time for questioning the results has passed; the time for the formal counting of the electoral college votes, as prescribed in the Constitution and statute, has arrived," the group wrote.

Election fraud uncovered! Here is clear and convincing evidence that election fraud has been committed in this election:

https://news.yahoo.com/trumps-lessthanperfect-call-to-georgia-officials-could-also-be-a-crime-221455096.html

The whole thing was/is a mess.
Nothing to do with me in "no ID...vote early, vote often" land...but hopefully the US election system will be perfected by next time.
There was no mess. Only Trump claiming it was.

There were ballots processed multiple times....missing ballots, confusion over postal ballots, confusion everywhere.
The good thing about Trump's actions is that those running the election know where the problems are.

No, there weren't ballots processed multiple times, beyond being recounted and then audited.

No, there weren't missing ballots.

No, there wasn't confusion everywhere - just made up stories from Trump supporters.

Kenosha - one view

I don't know of any other group of people where the police have to go on tactical alert and be in state of high readiness prior to jury decisions being announced or AG decisions on whether a cop is going to face charges.  Except the 'black community'!  Every time, the police have to prepare themselves for berserkers hitting the streets and unleashing a torrent of destruction in case the 'black community' doesn't get the answer they demanded.  Then it's like a 2 year old throwing a tantrum.

It is beyond comprehension.
Not only did Pelosi  eliminate gendered terms, such as “father, mother, son, and daughter” in the Congressional rules for the 117th Congress but Congress opened today with a prayer that concluded
“AMEN AND AWOMEN”
It was delivered by Representative Emanuel Cleaver(d)  also a pastor at St. James United Methodist Church of Kansas City, Missouri.

There is still time for you to leave the country.

Bambu will lodge you and perhaps share some of his precious stock of domestic coal.

Watched the GA hearings late last night

NO DOUBT is right

Go find a mirror. Look yourself in the eye and say, “There will never be a republican president or republican congressional majority again in my lifetime. There will never be a republican president or republican congressional majority again in my lifetime. There will never be a republican president or republican congressional majority again in my lifetime.”

Repeat it until it sinks in. Your life will start making much more sense once you get it.

Despite trump’s electoral loss, The Grand Synod of American Witches has elected to keep the hex on the GOP so long as they remain unnatural malign pricks without conscience or soul.

Title 52 U.S. Section 20511.

“A person, including an election official, who in any election for Federal office … knowingly and willfully deprives, defrauds, or attempts to deprive or defraud the residents of a State of a fair and impartially conducted election process, by … the procurement, casting, or tabulation of ballots that are known by the person to be materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent under the laws of the State in which the election is held” is subject to imprisonment of up to five years.

Next AG should prosecute Trump immediately.   He has clearly broken federal law,  and the call is on tape and multiply witnessed.   Anyone have a reason why the rule of law should  not be upheld?   Shouldn't this be prosecuted to deter others,  in the future,  from trying this again?

This was an attempted coup,  an act of treason against the United States.

There are potentially fines associated with the statute as well. The amounts aren’t specified. All he’s managed to grift in 5 years plus the value of the properties he and his cabal have loitered at should just about suffice.

Is he still heading to Georgia tomorrow to provide yet more corroborating evidence?

The republicans voted to seat themselves anyway. Now, for consistency’s sake and because they’ve just now sworn to protect the constitution, they will realize they have no grounds to contest the validity of anyone else’s results in those very same elections.

How many states do we have? How many voting locations?

If we take Trump's word for it on every single claim he made (which we should not), what percentage of the vote was skewed and what percentage of voting locations?

They know they have no (constitutional or legal) grounds for contesting and they knew that before they signed on.

It's good to have them demonstrably on record about it, for 2022, but there was never a doubt in his mind that they would vote to seat themselves.

Good for Chip Roy and for those two members who voted against their being seated.
