Major changes in the Trump Administration's vaccine roll-out process, at least one of which aligns with the Biden proposal to release the next wave of vaccines immediately rather than waiting.

The other big change is that if states request federal help in setting up vaccination centers, the feds will provide it (as they should have done all the way along, if not just outright doing it).

With people getting killed in the Capitol mayhem, the troops were nowhere to be found. Lt. Gen. Walter Piatt, the director of the Army Staff, reportedly disputed Sund's account and said in a Monday statement that authorization to activate the National Guard came approximately 40 minutes after the start of a conference call between officials around 2:20 p.m. However, the first National Guard personnel did not arrive on the scene until 5:40 p.m.

5:40 p.m!!

Even if Lt. Gen. Piatt were right and it "only" took 40 minutes to get the approval for the Guardsman to be deployed, that would mean it was 2 hours and 40 minutes after the authorization before there were personnel on the scene!

Way too long.
