The national debt has risen by almost $7.8 trillion during Trump’s time in office. That’s nearly twice as much as what Americans owe on student loans, car loans, credit cards and every other type of debt other than mortgages, combined, according to data from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. It amounts to about $23,500 in new federal debt for every person in the country.

The growth in the annual deficit under Trump ranks as the third-biggest increase, relative to the size of the economy, of any U.S. presidential administration, according to a calculation by Eugene Steuerle, co-founder of the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center. And unlike George W. Bush and Abraham Lincoln, who oversaw the larger relative increases in deficits, Trump did not launch two foreign conflicts or have to pay for a civil war....

If you read the whole article,  it becomes clearer how fiscal conservatives like me see a future with much less of our government revenue available to do the actual work of government.   We were lied to,  bigly.

“A third of the Republicans will leave the party,” Paul continued. “This isn’t about, anymore, the Electoral College, this is about the future of the party, and whether you’re going to ostracize and excommunicate President Trump from the party. Well, guess what? Millions of his fans will leave as well.”-----

Right.

But you said he put party ahead of nation.

To which I said "you are (both) wrong.

Paul believes that Republican party rule is best for the nation.  Thus what he said is to benefit BOTH party and nation.

As you were.

You couldn't straight up buy a pardon but you can pay guy who has access to decision makers with the ear of POTUS.

Like, say....  a consultant?

All sorts of those making bucks in all sorts of ways these days.

By the way, I have solid info that Ziegler paid Bartlett indirectly and that Jed will be impeached soon. YES, even as a private citizen this can occur and he can lose his benefits

Sad, he was good, especially for a Dem.

How much blood is necessary to make the case for LMHP intervention rather than cop intervention?   This is a travesty of "law enforcement."

The GOP blows holes in the economy and build up debt and deficits. Then they drag their feet holding back recovery and stretching out the pain as they suddenly become fiscally responsible.

They blame the Democrats for not fixing the problems they created fast enough and give the WWC someone to blame for their problems, (blacks, browns, immigrants, lesbians etc.) and then they get to do it all over again.

Pelosi held back the recovery

Admitted to it, patting herself on the backside for not giving Trump his win

Has a much bigger mouth than you'd like sometimes.

Back in the 90s it was if one had access to a FOB (friend of Bill) who had done the Governor a solid and was owed a favor. No guarantee but it could get one into the review process.

BTW -

There aint any Ziegler's or Bartlett in this GOP. If there were the world wouldn't be as fucked up.

Paul is a moron lying to himself in your estimation. That sounds about right. You still have his poster up in your bedroom, the one with the fresh chicken grease still glistening in his hair?

The Lincoln Project helps Americans understand the Jim Crow caucus. It’s never too early or too late to punch a fascist, even if you are just using the media to do it.
