Sec'y Devos tried to protect for-profit colleges.
She funneled COVID-19 money to religious and private schools, instead of the public schools it was intended for.
She worried more about men accused of sexual assault than she did about the assaulted women.
She removed guidance for schools on how to handle SPED, removing and not replacing roughly 70 guidelines.

In a January 2018 speech, Devos said that the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) found that "60 percent of its teachers reported having moderate to no influence over the content and skills taught in their own classrooms." In response, AFT noted that in the same survey of around 5,000 educators, 86% felt that Devos had disrespected them.

Except...it "emphasizes the critical need for healthy relationships, caring school communities, and an interconnected citizenry as the main defenses against school violence." Further, it proposed "rescinding an Obama-era initiative meant to reduce racial disparities in school discipline", as well as encouraging "threat assessment programs, security improvements, and active shooter drills."
Turns out, it was a joke, if not quite as ridiculous as Trump's Election Fraud Commission.
