Donald Trump understands;

There are about 1600 coal-fired power stations either under construction or planned, in 62 countries around the world.
Something like 583 in China, 273 in India, many in Japan, etc.
Yes, everyone's dancin' "coal"!

They've seen the folly of 'Paris' and the climate change/global warming folly.

There is no question your future lies in coal, bellowing black smoke and buried in a mountain of ash.

Forget eliminating forum's. I want.to eliminate.the "Total Time Logged In" feature. Every Time I look at it I think, Jesus, I'm a.pathetic loser.

If I get the power, I will be happy to do it.

Try being nice when you have shit thrown at you from every direction

"Little Marco"
"Crooked Hillary"
"Lying Ted"
"Low Energy Jeb"
"Crazy Bernie"
"Sleepy Chuck Todd"
"Crazy Megyn"

When you are throwing shit in every direction and have been for years, you should not be surprised when shit starts coming back your way.

Those were only from before his election - he's done a bunch more since. The Chuck Todd nickname goes back to 2011, I believe.

Add to those his racial epithets and insults and you have an equal opportunity target!

But, but..... he started it, Mom.

Weak sauce

Yeah, wouldn't want him held responsible for his actions!

Whiner.

U.S. ROCKS!

That's great.

I wonder if they will leave Columbia before things are even close to taken care of the way they did Puerto Rico!

Don't you still have to pay for it?  I think that's Kid's issue, rather than hiding his whereabouts.

I don't know that it works in explorer.

I use Google Chrome and can read Wash Po articles via "open link in incognito window."

One of the benefits of having a slow connection is that I can just stop the article from fully loading, before the paywall kicks in.

The NYT is easier, as you can just hit reload as many times as you want if you stop loading too early or late.  WaPo is a little smarter and if you try to reload an article that didn't finish loading, it will send you back to the home page, where you have to click the link again.
But after you do this for a while, you get to know pretty well when to stop the loading process.

There's probably a cookie you can delete to reset the counter as well, I'd guess.  Makes more sense to keep the counter on your computer than on their servers.

Yes, everyone's dancin' "coal"!

They've seen the folly of 'Paris' and the climate change/global warming folly.

Last year China canceled 103 coal plants that were approved and/or had started construction.  China has implemented a national coal cap to limit the amount of coal being burned (actually a cap on the amount of energy capacity from coal plants).  China is moving ahead with new nuclear plants, and making a major push into solar and wind.

When even China is bailing on coal, you know the show is over.
Not that it won't drag on for some declining decades.  India is probably not at a level that they have other options readily available.
Still in an economic growth over quality of life phase (ie pollute like mad to build up wealth).

Right now in the US solar is on par with coal costs, and if you add in all of the coal externalities, such as ripping open mountains, transporting coal, and air pollution, (not even to get into miner health), solar is cheaper.

In the US, cleaner fossil fuels (ie natural gas) have undermined coal.
The idea that coal could or should have a resurgence in the US is myopic or a cruel joke.  Also, no one really wants to be a coal miner -- it's a shitty, unhealthy job.  People in Appalachia want jobs.

And China is a firm backer of the Paris Accords.
They believe in climate change and witness unhealthy pollution levels.
But it's a big, still largely poor country and has until 2030 to cap its greenhouse emissions.  But they are serious about meeting those commitments, and moving away from coal.

And even though Trump made a Big Show about withdrawing from the Paris Accords, each nation set its own target and these goals are voluntary.  There is no enforcement mechanism or punishment attached.  It's simply a general pledge to pollute less.  With the goal to stabilize planetary warming and attendant global disruptions.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/judge-says-trump-campaign-screwed-wording-confidentiality-agreements-025613573.html

Judge rules there are flaws in the confidentiality agreement:

Quote
“As an initial matter, the Court observes that the arbitration clause confines arbitration to ‘any dispute arising under or relating to this agreement,’” Bluth wrote, adding with emphasis, “It does not require arbitration for any ‘dispute between the parties’ or even ‘any dispute arising out of plaintiff’s employment.’”

Oops.

So much for that effort!

p.s. This one is not satire, unlike the one about the apology.

Kid, you and the other remaining GOP hacks are too flexible, with no fixed principles just a love of crime and tyranny and a need to debase and degrade the American identity.

It’s why you must be inflexibly and universally opposed.

Blow me.

Sometimes you can learn more clearly the mistakes being made by examining others' mistakes.

Does this phrase sound familiar, white people?
"I'm not a racist, but..."
