Prayer is fine, and maybe prayers are answered.

But contributions to candidates, organization, and getting out motivated voters wins elections.

Agree. Especially if you have a daughter. Pence and his coalition are ready to impose their religious views in much the same way as the Ayatollah, and Trump is ready to lead the GOP into the same corrupt era of President Grant or the one brought to you by Coolidge and the gang. Justice, Brett "This, Bud's, For Me and Not You" Kkkavanaugh Neil Down, NOW, Gorsucker will report for bench duty to make sure that rape and pillage are legal for some, not others.

And though the Senate is a close 52-46 - 2 (Independents).

51-47-2. That's why the battle over Collins was so hot, and Flake. Had either of them said no, then Manchin would probably have said no, too.

And your complaints about Obama are not totally off-base, but do remember that even when the Dems had more votes that the gerrymandering had a greater negative impact on them than on the GOP in the House. Further, the impact of vote suppression is far greater than I think most of us realize.

As for lack of corroboration:
https://hillreporter.com/keith-koegler-releases-significant-evidence-corroborating-dr-fords-claims-9543

It's not that there was no corroboration.

It's that the GOP deliberately chose not to have it included by the FBI or to allow the FBI to talk to Keith Koegler.

Slime puppies and liars.

I meant GOP - DEMS - IND

The GOP has got a head start on voter suppression.  Dems playuing catch up.  Always behind.

Gerrymandering only because Dems failed to win statehouses.

The Democratic Senate fucked over Obama on the ACA. Max Baucus slow walked the legislation which gave the Astro turf TEA Party the space to organize and then Joe Lieberman insisted the Public Option be taken out of the ACA to appease the GOP who never intended to help govern.

Then the fucking progressives got mad at Obama for not including the public option and “taught him a lesson” in the 2010 midterm. Thanks, Michael Moore.

Obama built the party and the party threw away the base (young people, peo0le of color) trying to appease the WWC voters everyone says the Dems need turning over the House and legislatures in a census year.

Goddamn right. The gerrymandering was because of the losses in the state legislatures during a census year and then Shelby gutted the Voting Rights Act and those states previously under pre-clearance went buck wild with voter suppression efforts.

Does any of this sound familiar?

Almost hate to say it but black folks been hollering about this since forever. This is a cyclical backlash (some would say Blacklash) that follows incremental gains by minorities, read blacks.

This move by the GOP is a consolidation of power for white patriarchy by their donor class, demographic shifts be damned.

The authoritarian bent of this administration comes from Trumps inner circle of compromised Russian assets. Russia is using the same game plan across the globe.

Achtung, y’all...
Shit’s gonna get deep.

Yeah.

You see, I have a problem with lying sexual predators with virulent political and conspiratorial tendencies serving on the nation's Supreme Court.

I get that you don't and that it is all a game to you.

Yes, I know you meant GOP - DEMS - IND, Bo!

51 - 47 - 2, after Sessions went away and Doug Jones beat Roy Moore for the seat in the special election.
https://www.senate.gov/history/partydiv.htm

And no. Gerrymandering only because the majority party chose not to create fair congressional districts and, in some cases, did so in unconstitutional ways or to an unconstitutional degree.

North Carolina, in particular, did it in a racist manner more than once. PA got solved by their courts, despite GOP attempts to get around it. We'll see about others later.

But Maryland was a case in which the Dems captured the state house and legislatures and they did the gerrymandering!
