We already had the 2nd Civil War.

It was hard! Many of us had to do without lattes for the week!

But the tweets were awesome!

In the poll, I was apparently right.

The FBI did find evidence that Kavanaugh lied to the Committee, but he was seated, anyway.

The ABA’s rating of Kavanaugh was the highest it could give.

How much weight does the American Boofing Association carry in the vetting process?

I'm pretty sure Republican senators would have approved a drunk lying sexual predator misogynist for the Supreme Court as a matter of professional courtesy, without the ABA weighing in.

How do we know how much Kavanaugh NOW drinks?  None of your senators asked him.

Sen. Klobuchar tried to go down that path, and the best answer she could get from Judge Case- a-night was "I like beer".

But from what I gathered he often forgets how much he drinks.

She had time.

I dont think Democrats wanted it out there that he no longer drinks to excess.  It had been researched - and they decided not to touch it.

So no - attempts to paint the current Kavanaugh as a drunk arent at all valid.

Kid, no one really cares if Judege Case-a-night drinks a beer today or not, it was more he tried to lie about his past.

First by portraying himself in that Fox PR interview as a choirboy, and then only after it was revealed that he drank in high school did we get a new story.
But even then he tried to continue to bulshit the Senate in evasive answers about his drinking and behavior in high-school and college.

Putting aside the huge issue of sexual assault, the issue was his ability to tell the truth about his past. drinking at age 17-22, which most of us could identify with to some degree.

But he choose to lie.

And everybody knows that too.

Fuck. Numbers are numbers. Inevitable loss but with a month til midterms you can believe this won’t hurt the Dems.
Sure, and Joe McCarthy is an American hero.

And his lawyer was later Trump's lawyer!   (as well as lawyer to two of the Five Families of NY)
Wanna try that one again?

You could have factchecked this easily,  lazy person.

What's astounding is the Senate confirmed a man who spouted a completely baseless conspiracy theory.  That right there should have told any competent panel that he wasn't qualified for Scotus.  I think it's reasonable to assume that the constitutionally mandated independence of the legislative branch from the executive is over.

Follow the thread.  My response was to Kavanaugh being called a drunk.

Keep evading and pretending that's the issue.  You'll fool someone, someday.

Kavanaugh lied about his actions in his youth.  He lied about a Clinton conspiracy.  He lied about his own judicial writings.  He lied about his yearbook entry.  He's a liar.  His pants are like blowtorches.

From El Posto Washingtonio this a.m.

Quote
Likely voters who live in 69 battleground House districts across the country narrowly prefer Democratic candidates, according to a new Washington Post-Schar School survey, a potentially worrying sign for Republicans given that the overwhelming percentage of these districts are currently in GOP hands.

With just a month to the midterm elections and with early voting set to begin in many states, the new poll highlights the challenge for Republicans as they seek to maintain their House majority at a time when President Trump’s approval rating remains below 50 percent despite sustained economic growth, low unemployment and a rising stock market.

The survey of 2,672 likely voters by The Post and the Schar School at George Mason University shows that likely voters in these districts favor Democrats by a slight margin: 50 percent prefer the Democratic nominee and 46 percent prefer the Republican. By way of comparison, in 2016 these same districts favored Republican candidates over Democratic ones by 15 percentage points, 56 percent to 41 percent.
