Many will be happy to see the troops.
Make no mistake - the caravan has been dangerous in spots. Good men have resorted to gathering in packs, so that one can watch belongings as others sleep. And many have turned back to Honduras, requesting help with that passage.
I'm sure there are many hardships, on the road to freedom and a better life in the U.S. My grandfather told me long ago of the hardships he and his brothers encounteted as they escaped from the pogroms and hatred of Russia over a century ago.
Thank you grandpa for risking it all, for future generations.
So we will be getting the strongest of the strong, those that have endured hardships beyond description to make sure their children have a chance at a better life?
That's wonderful.
One day their grand-children will thank them for their courage and the strength to follow their dreams.
