Remember when "journalists" were writing with certainty that Kashoggi was cut up while still alive.

Well......

https://www.cnn.com/2018/10/31/middleeast/turkey-saudi-khashoggi-investigation-intl/index.html

and YEAH, it fucking matters.

Remember when Trump said he found the Saudi explanation about Khashoggi to be believable?

Was it not a hit squad?

Pretty sure that is what Trump has believed.

snort

"Saudi Arabia admits Khashoggi killed but claims he died in 'fistfight'"

Donald Trump said Saudi Arabia’s announcement on the circumstances of Khashoggi’s death was credible and a “good first step” but that what happened was “unacceptable”.
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/oct/20/donald-trump-says-he-finds-saudi-explanation-of-khashoggi-death-credible

Hit squad? hahahahahahaha!

I don't know which is worse - your gullibility or your self-serving memory.

Strange days indeed. Most peculiar, mama!

But on Tuesday, The Associated Press reported that Tala and Rotana Farea’s mother told detectives that one day before the bodies were found last week, a Saudi Embassy official had called her and ordered that the family leave the U.S. because her daughters had applied for asylum.

Many will be happy to see the troops.

Make no mistake - the caravan has been dangerous in spots. Good men have resorted to gathering in packs, so that one can watch belongings as others sleep.  And many have turned back to Honduras, requesting help with that passage.

I'm sure there are many hardships, on the road to freedom and a better life in the U.S. My grandfather told me long ago of the hardships he and his brothers encounteted as they escaped from the pogroms and hatred of Russia over a century ago.

Thank you grandpa for risking it all, for future generations.

So we will be getting the strongest of the strong, those that have endured hardships beyond description to make sure their children have a chance at a better life?

That's wonderful.

One day their grand-children will thank them for their courage and the strength to follow their dreams.

Remember when "journalists" were writing with certainty that Kashoggi was cut up while still alive.

You have to realize that almost all the info on Kashoggi's killing has come from Turkish gov't leaks, through friendly media (about the only kind still allowed to operate in Turkey).  The Turks have been motivated to keep the heat up on Saudi Arabia and MBS.  And to discredit Saudi explanations.

There has been tantalizing talk of eavesdropped audio of the killing itself.  Thus far unsubstantiated.  The Saudi explanation Trump initially approved of was that it was a rogue group of Saudis who did the killing accidentally.  But with a hit squad of 15 traveling from the kingdom, including reportedly a forensics expert with a bone saw, the idea of accidental death is far-fetched.  And no one believes such a high profile hit team would be dispatched without MBS knowing.

The Saudis sent a team to Turkey to help investigate, and the Turks claim the Sauds were mostly just interested in knowing what the Turks know about Kashoggis killing.  So they can try to concoct a story that might stick, instead of another one which will be contradicted within dyas.

The new info is Kashoggi was strangled upon entering.  the Sauds are willing to go with that, which might even be true, because leaked Turkish reports are saying that calls were made form the Saudi Consulate to MBS in Riyadh, and Kashoggi talked to MBS on the phone before he was killed.  And that is obviously a disaster for Saudi Arabia/MBS if true.  So whether there were calls -- almost certainly Turkey knows there were -- and who spoke to whom, it's best for the Sauds to say Kashoggi was dead right away, while they'll deny MBS talked to anyone there.  but even if he did, it was after the murder (which they'll claim he didn't know a thing about beforehand).

it's all a tricky, confused mess, with Turkey leaking all sorts of things, many of which they know to be true, others probably suppositions they leak as facts using them as feelers to learn more.  All the while hinting that they know more.  And the Saudis desperate to know what and how much the Turks actually know.

the Turks want to know 1) who did the killing and who authorized it 2) where the body is 3) who disposed of the body.  Saudis are now claiming that they used a local agent for disposal and so they can't answer #2 or 3.

Next conundrum.  The case doesn't go away until the body (and head) are found.  The Saudis really don't want the body found if it's been  dismembered with identifying fingers and teeth removed, face disfigured.  So that's lose-lose for the Sauds.

Fucked up ish, but a pretty tremendous storyline ...

Trump never got behind the "accidental" part.  Rogue (band of 15 hit men) - yes.

And always said, "it's being investigated."

Imagine that - due process.

Trump says this process opens the door for too many uneducated, under-qualified, and possibly dangerous, immigrants to legally enter the U.S. He has been hammering that point ever since police arrested a 27-year-old man accused of setting off a pipe-bomb in a commuter tunnel near Times Square in December. That suspect, Akayed Ullah, has been living in Brooklyn since 2011 after entering the country on an F-4 visa, which is granted to brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews of U.S. citizens.

This is perfectly ok with Democrats

No matter how terribly unjust the Donald's economic plans are if the dems tie themselves to liberalized immigration they are backing a lost elitist cause. Historically the dems have defended legal immigrants and have been pro labor. HRC flip flopped over and lost middle America.

You fucking jackass, the F4 visa process is what we support. Criminal acts.deserve criminal punishment. That is something else we support.

Millions of people have come to this country on F4 visas and become successful, contributing members of society. In fact family member migration usually leads to more successful immigrants because they come into a social setting with existing family support. But as typical of xenophobic fear m9ngers, fuck the reality of the F4 visa, a bad guy got IN!
