Being a racist doesn't preclude one from serving in Congress

You are representing your constituents, who have voted their approval.  Yes, even racists have unalienable rights.

Is more than half the voting public in MS racist?  Likely not.  So she has other qualities, stances on issues they see as likeable.

Nor does being a racist preclude one from being president.

Or posting on this message board, as you and a couple others show repeatedly.

She hasn't gotten more than half the vote yet, Kiiid, so your conclusion seems premature.

But even if your "likely not" were true (which is untested), there is a good chance she will win because of her quality of having an (R) next to her name, rather than because they have the foggiest where she stands on issues apart from racism.

Overall, your comment smacks of a darker version of that said about Harrold Carswell by then Senator Hruska:

GM is doing better in the face of the tariffs than Ford is, but they will be laying off more workers. They'll actually be closing 7 factories, not the 5 in the headline, but 2 of those are not in North America. 4 of the 5 are US, 1 is Canadian.

I don't think this is an unreasonable business move by GM. And with luck, these folks will find jobs that only pay a little less than their current spots, even if the benefits won't be as good and they have to move.

That you are not upset over anything, if that is truly the case, is pretty damning, too.

And your theory about our residence meaning we "should have zero say over who represents MS" would seem to fly in the face of how our election financing and advertising and even campaigning works. We can donate, we can fund ads, and we can even make phone calls or send out postcards in support of a candidate in another state.

Some of those decidedly can include why we are doing it - in my case, opposition to her racist worldview.

That was hardly all she had to say - but one key thing she said was that she is no longer constrained in saying what she believes.

I think the country will be better served by her speaking her mind, even when we disagree.

Clitoris choppers will definitely want to move to one of the 23 states that hasn't specifically criminalized their holy ritual of mutilation,  and truly respect FREEDOM!   The godless Hollywood cliteratti must not force their demonic sensuality on others!

Seriously, this kind of barbaric abuse of young women makes me want to borrow the phrase "primitive belief matrix" from Luee.   Hopefully the laws in each state against abuse and mutilation will be able to stop these pious creeps.   If this is truly beyond the scope of federalism,  then those states should fucking get off their asses (before some holy man comes along and chops bits off their asses...)
