I give lil kush about as much credit for the Criminal Justice Reform bill and it’s passage as he gets for improving the function of government or bringing peace to the Middle East.

Criminal Justice Reform will be signed into law because torches and pitchforks are effective motivators for the monsters in the castle, especially when wielded by crowds that dwarf their trumptacular 2016 inauguration fiasco.

Since it’s working better than anything else, we’ll stay sharp and lit and in the streets.

Black Lives Matter.

There’s your prime mover on this successful reform push.

It happened now because the country demands it and in two weeks the House bill would have contained much further reaching measures. Doing this lesser step now gives the prison profiteers an excuse to resist revisiting the issue in a more meaningful way.

That "deep bench" of leadership prospects cleared out pretty quickly, didn't it?

Breakdown of a story on something totally legal and routine:

- Trump has no business deals or relationships in Russia.  None.  Repeatedly stated.
- Trump may have briefly talked about a tower in Moscow, but what would you expect, he deals in international real estate.
- The talk ended way before Trump became a candidate.
- OK, the talk ended after election day.
- There was talk of Putin being gifted a $50 Million Penthouse in the tower, but that it was just talk, there was no deal in place.
- There may have been a deal drawn up, but it was never signed, and Trump didn't even know about it.
- OK, so there was a deal which Trump signed...

And while CNN shows the signed document, FOX News is debating the gender of anthropomorphized ginger cookies.

Sorry, not a debate, because "obviously they're men."

Guys...the Republican half of this country is completely out to lunch.

Slats?  See-through?  Chain link?  Gosh,  Donald,  that sounds more like a FENCE to me.

Well,  one plus - if these imbeciles do actually build their fence,  at least steel can be easily recycled when it's later taken down.

I wasn't aware of any.  Maybe others were.
I still like Romney but he doesn't get enough support
Christie.  But folks don't see past weight and the bridge.
Is Kushner being Jewish enough to have him not attain a passing grade with the party?

Don't know.

Don't know either if he will be interested in pursuing office.

Kushner had a good day today as well.
At this point, any day his indictment remains sealed qualifies as a good day.

Christie.  But folks don't see past weight and the bridge.

"The bridge."  Yes, some people consider straight-forward corruption to be disqualifying for public service.  Crazy, I know.

Is Kushner being Jewish enough to have him not attain a passing grade with the party?

Don't know.

If you have to ask...

I would say, though, that at this point it is the least of some very serious barriers to his entering politics (see above.)

Best headline this week (from WaPo):

Pursuing office? Hell, he’s getting tips from his dad on how to get through prison...

So the US is planning a rapid and unexpected withdrawal from Syria, despite the objections from Trump's Generals (remember when he said he would listen to his generals?) abandoning the fight against ISIS there, and leaving the Kurds to fight off Turkey on their own.

So in other words, this is bad, seemingly against US interests.

Why?  Haven't seen an explanation yet.  We know that Putin applauds the move.  We also know that Erdogan applauds the move, and may back off his accusations against Saudi Arabia for the killing of Khashoggi in response to the move.  We don't know that the decision is influenced by either of those factors, but given what we know we can't rule it out.

And that's a problem.
