Looking at presidential re-election chances from two years out is a crapshoot.

Looking at them in terms of job creation during those last two years is less of a crapshoot.

This may or may not end up having anything to do with Donad Trump, but Ford's on the chart. (Johnson is not.)

Are we at the end game?

Putin calling in his markers...

Fox calling him a loser?

Whoa...

The S&P500 statistically has an 86 percent chance of rising throughout the year if it experiences gains during the first five days of the year.

Looks like that won't apply to 2018.

How low can we go?

The last December this bad was 1929.

Cherry pick.

Nothing (other than Trump’s resignation) would be more enjoyable than to see this kinky weirdo squeezed through the legal pipes. In a sane world his fate to end up in jail would have been inevitable.

What standard would you prefer?

What would you pick? What comparison would you use for these 3 months? Got one, or just kneejerking with your "cherry pick?"

The last December this bad was 1929. Don't like it? Neither do I.

381 in November, before the crash.

It finished December down a mere 133 points. 248.

In the following two years, it dropped down to 41. Made it up to 150 by the end of 1939.

Cherry pick?

Bullshit.

I'm just hoping that the voices predicting recession (or worse) are wrong. But I'm not holding my breath. Are you confident that they are wrong?

https://www.theatlantic.com/education/archive/2018/12/trumps-school-safety-commissions-strange-focus-on-discipline/578455/

It's not strange at all.

They focused on an Obama-period regulation because Obama.

They chose one designed to combat bias in school discipline because they like bias in school discipline, just as they do in police forces. (See also, the backing out of consent agreement on Baltimore's police problem.)

And they ignored the real problems.

Nu?

Three Kansas legislators have shifted from the GOP to become Democrats.

Why?

Because they (finally) figured out what the GOP stood for and it wasn't citizens and it wasn't children and it wasn't education.

Well, evidently, they did something wrong, as there are more sanctions coming.

This is likely why, at the same time, Trump has the military pulling out of Syria, against both his generals' advice and his party's wishes. Putin wants it. Erdogan wants it. Erdo, Trump wants it, so he is putin in the order to send our troops home.

Bibi will not be pleased.

Individual 1 has to deliver some deliverable while he still can exert some power. If not his masters can draw Mueller a really excellent map.

This administration was defeated by ISIS and Nancy Pelosi both in the same day. Winning GOP style.

What got put in the vault?

Remember a few years ago when Red discovered the word "feckless" when reading the web sites of his Right Wing Masters and used it to describe Obama's foreign policy? Nothing Obama ever did was fecked up, so totally lacking in even a hint of feck as what Trump did yesterday in Syria.

Why would the concupiscient Kurds ever trust us again? For decades we have treated them like they are Charlie Brown and we are Lucy.
