And in May:
On the heels of a last-minute trade summit in Beijing and in advance of the potential implementation of new tariffs, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said talks with China have made progress, and the country appears open to some of the White House’s requests.

“I think they agreed to the concept of a trade deficit reduction — the questions are how much and how do you get there?” Ross told the audience at CNBC’s Capital Exchange breakfast on Thursday in Washington.

Your credulity is astounding.

Josh is good at reporting old news.

DimBulb is good at failing to understand implications.

The Trump administration repeatedly tells us how well this, that, or the other negotiation is going.

Then they back off it. Or they report a new compromise position that is really where things started before they made it worse, first.

That's the implication this time.

Last time was your crowing about the big rise in the DJIA, while insisting that the pattern of highest highs and lowest lows in a year is not suggestive of deeper problems.

Our government is shut down because Trump made a promise he cannot keep and his ego is too big to admit it. Kind of like ReddDimBulb.

Do not play chess with pigeons or DimBulbWard. They will strut around the board, knock over pieces, shit on the board, then fly away, claiming they won.

"Got you," you said, as if you ever truly get anything.

So in other words, there is no trade.deal with China, and you are bragging about the report of the possibility of one.

He may not brag about the hiatus in scientific research due to the shutdown,  as described in today's Post.   Some of the stalled projects are important to US competitive edge in the global economy.   Being furloughed also means being unable to attend major conferences that foster networking,  data sharing,  brainstorming, etc.

I liked the toon that Josh posted with the "actual wall. "

Odd that the Trumpeter hasn’t had a word to say about the new demands that his Best Friend, Lil’ Kim, laid down (we have to get out of S. Korea AND Japan and then maybe he’ll start to think about denuc. of the Korean peninsula)—Maybe Trumpy has just moved on in his delusional reality…”We’ll, yes, I took care of that months ago in Singapore. I am the finest negotiator in the world".
