And the Dems have already agreed to pay some money towards it, even if they are still against it. Trump doesn't care about the Wall - he cares about the politics.

And given the $15 million raised privately to ostensibly pay for the wall, I don't want to ever hear "but what about our homeless veterans?!" again.

Some of us,  yes.   Because fencing breaks up the range of species that play key roles in a desert/chapparal ecosystem. 

And because it is pointless to construct a wall when other measures (as BP veterans will explain to you)  are massively more effective per dollar.**  What happened to GOP as being fiscal conservatives? 

As for FENCES (what the current blueprints are for),  pretty much any ten year old can explain what those are good for.   Why should Dems cooperate with childish idiocy?

**  economic aid to Honduras, et al, plus anti-gang initiatives in El Salvador et al
**  decreasing drug addiction in USA that drives border smuggling
**  penalties for hiring workers without permits
** ultrasound scanners on all incoming freight vehicles
** fully fund immigration court staffing,  clear out backlogs
** seasonal guest worker programs that provide cheap transport to US farms,  where there are local labor shortages
** lots more,  fingers tired

And it's not like we don't know this can be done - the Port of San Diego has been dealing with tunnels for a long time. The Israelis have been dealing with tunnels for a long time. The Egyptians have been dealing with tunnels for a long time.

What on Earth makes Trump, Redd, Bambi, or you, Kiiid, think that somehow our having a physical (see, I skipped the word "concrete," since you seem to only get the material, not the concept, when I say concrete) wall will work better than it has for them, when ours will be far longer and cover far more unpatrolled land than their walls and crossings do?!!

The main job of the myriad House investigations of Individual 1 and his offshoots is to give the several republican challengers in the 2020 GOP primary a crap-ton of ammunition to hurl at the hideous monstrous incumbent while further eroding his already shriveled regard among voters of all stripes. If impeachment comes of it, and/or the Mueller report, so be it. Hem him in, block his rythym, stop his moves, and expose, expose, expose. Put bills for every 70-30 issue on the table and force Mitch and the dotard to block or fold. The House of Reps will be such a force for good this term.
