Polar Vortex...go outside in Chicago etc and after 8 minutes you'll get frostbite and your nose will fall off.

Sheesh, another way to meet a terrible fate in America.

Also we're being told that people in Chicago are being held up at gunpoint and robbed of their coats.
It's the federal govt's duty to make sure everyone in America has a warm coat and warm blankets.

$500 fine for landlords who turn off the heating?
Should be $5000...they'll just laugh at $500.

https://globalnews.ca/news/4901609/canada-goose-chicago/

One of the robberies was captured on security footage showing two men jumping from a Mercedes vehicle and approaching a man on a sidewalk.

Video shows the 54-year-old man being punched and thrown around by two men, as one of them rips the coat from the victim’s back. The men flashed a gun before stealing the victim’s wallet and Canada Goose coat.

#####

Another good reason to carry guns in America.
When thugs start punching you and throwing you around, you can shoot them thru the coat with the handguns ready to fire you have in your coat pockets.

No, it isn't.

Whether or not it should be.

Stock Market Bell rang at 4 eastern time.
When it did stocks recorded best January in 30 years, a sign investors are favoring sectors tied to the U.S. economy.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 both closed the month with their biggest January gains since the 1980s. The industrial average’s 7.2% rise was its best January performance since 1989, while the S&P’s 7.9% advance was its best start to a year since 1987.

Texas claimed there were 95,000 voting non-citizens.

Texas no longer is making that claim. They now say "there may be many" non-citizen voters on their voter rolls.

Trump told us all that his intelligence advisors are naive, that they need to go back to school about Iran, North Korea, etc., when they publicly testified that their assessments were in sharp disagreement with his. Tweeted about it, not just a little.

Today?

https://www.cnn.com/2019/01/31/politics/trump-intelligence-agencies-coats-haspel/index.html

Today, he tells us that he is on the same page as the heads of these agencies - the same folks he (a) appointed and (b) insulted.

Meanwhile...

Another day, another treaty withdrawal?

https://www.cnn.com/2019/01/31/politics/us-mike-pompeo-inf-withdrawal/index.html

The Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty, has been in place for 30 years. The US is going to unilaterally withdraw from it, starting a clock ticking for 180 days for Russia to come back into full compliance.

Unlike a lot of other unilateral pronouncements, this is one that Trump and Europe agree about Russia's violations. Still, it tosses one more ball up in the air, just in case there were not enough already.

Why would Russia choose to change its path?

Her own fault [not the racist video part].
Expired registration, you get your car seized, in America or Australia.
She then allegedly refused a lift home from the officers, and had to walk a block home in freezing weather.
Her life, her choice....she allegedly chose to walk home in the freezing cold.
IMAGINE...if the cops decided she might freeze to death walking home, handcuffed her and took her home 'by force', for her own good/health's sake.

The NRA is trying to distance itself from a trip to Russia partially organized by convicted spy Butina.

Unfortunately for them, the trail of documents suggests otherwise.

The NRA. The GOP. And the Russians.

Troika!

Speaking of tunnels;

A Secret Tunnel Leading Toward a Florida Bank Puzzles the F.B.I.

You mean this tunnel?
Anybody can dig a tunnel - and if you don't make a mistake, like digging under a too-soft surface, you will probably make it just fine, even in the middle of a city.
