Yearbook pictures?  Kind of amazing it took them that long to find that, given the current trend in political campaigns.  Agree with Larry's charitable comment on Northam, he does seem to have grown into a decent person.  But medical school, wow, you think the judgement circuits would be hooked up better in a brain in its, what, mid_twenties, than a college freshman age brain.  That suggests he hadn't worked out that some symbols don't play, even if you use them ironically, which does suggest an oddly insulated sense of entitlement.  And the noxious power of frat culture.
Virginia Military Institute, his alma mater,  listed his interest as pediatrics in the yearbook and includes the quote:
“There are more old drunks than old doctors in this world so I think I’ll have another beer.”

The PC police of today finally gave us "perspective".  Oh the Humanity!

Northam's cooked whether he steps down or not. He doesn't remember if he's little black sambo or "David Duke"?

Thats only the type of bullshit lie that an entitled Supreme Court candidate could fabricate and get away with about his unrembered days as a drunk and entitled high school sexual predator, and only with the knowing complicity of the entire Republican party.

But is there a statute of limitations on stupid stuff we did as we grew up, even if its as hurtful as using symbols of hatred, even at a time when some did not fully appreciate the racist (or sexist in other examples) implications?  Is it possible that Virginia in the 80s was not a model of racial harmony and open mindedness?

and I'm not giving the guy a pass, he may be a great guy today, but he's gonna take a bullet and then like Al Franken, perhaps try to the ressurect himself.

Hmmm
Northam won a Governorship by calling his opponent a racist.
Now he is in the PC spotlight with supposed racist roots.
Who is the fool?

Who is the fool? You and anybody who will not acknowledge that the GOP acts as a party in a racist manner on a regular basis and embraces most of its bigots, rather than doing anything about them the vast majority of the time.

Why do you ask, fool?

Let's stick with what can be determined as fact:

You can be a racist and grow out of it.  Northam's past 30 years can be looked into.

You can call someone a racist and, even if you were formerly of that mindset yourself, it doesn't make you wrong.  In fact, it might even enhance your identification ability.  I'm good at spotting liars because I had a phase in growing up where I was good at lying.  Takes a thief to...etc.

If we all are held accountable for any bigotry we harbored in our youth, does that mean we deny public service to talented people?  (and who would be left to serve?)  As Banks said, what's the SOL?

Dollars to doughnuts the far right already has a few guys from Delta House (sic), Timmy, PJ, and 'Squi, already to swear under oath, that Northam regularly did an awesome Eddie Murphy.

LOL  I think you are a little late to the party with that observation. Maybe because the latest 'victim' has a  d next to his ballot name.

You overlooked the phrase "in our youth."

Apples and oranges. But you would not ever be able to acknowledge it.
