https://www.cnn.com/2019/02/22/politics/family-separations-case-whats-next/index.html

The judge is not impressed by the government's arguments for why they should not have to document what they did to/with these children.

Separately, it came out that the Trump administration separated more children  after the court case was already running.

And continues to do so, today.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2019/02/21/trump-administration-breaks-up-some-migrant-families-heres-how-cbp-border-sabraw-separate/2836085002/

Quote
At the border, the decision is made solely by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents in the field. No child welfare specialist is required, and no judge is involved in a decision that cannot be appealed.
...
President Donald Trump and U.S. District Judge Dana Sabraw both ordered the Department of Homeland Security to stop separating migrant families as a systemic practice in June.

There is an exception, however: When a parent presents a danger to a child.

What constitutes a "danger" is not clearly defined, but it can include obvious cases of abuse, where the child is covered in bruises, and harder-to-detect cases, where immigration agents believe a child is in peril.

In the seven months after Trump and Sabraw issued their orders, Homeland Security separated at least 245 children from their parents in part by using the danger exception, according to a Department of Justice estimate filed in court on Wednesday. Immigration attorneys believe the number is far higher, with the Texas Civil Rights Project releasing a report on Thursday that found 272 separations in that time period in the McAllen, Texas, area alone.
...
The agency defended its family separation process as one that balances the desire to "maintain family unity to the greatest extent operationally feasible" with strong protections for children who may be in danger.

"When handling children it is a practice to always err on the side of caution and to act in the best interest of the child," a statement from the agency said. "The moment of suspicion that a threat to a child exists, it becomes an inquiry and potentially an investigation into the welfare of that child."

I am unconvinced that the Border Patrol has the capacity to make that determination in a vacuum - but that is how they are doing it.

Sarah Sanders leapt to Trump's defense with an ironclad bit of reasoning. ]On Friday morning, this exchange happened between White House press secretary Sarah Sanders and CNN's Joe Johns:
:

Quote
[size=10pt
Johns: You said there was no need to collude with Russia but there have been so many indictments and contacts with Russians. How do you balance that?

Sanders: It's real simple to me. The President far and away was the better candidate. He had a better message and he outworked Hillary Clinton. That's why he's President. He didn't need to, nor did he, collude with the Russians. Pretty simple.[/size]

And there you have it.

Proof...

...that Sarah Sanders has no comprehension of logic or of what she sounds like.

Undocumented immigrants entering the country illegally/entering seeking asylum...are being separated from their children?
The risk you take when you enter someone else's country illegally/without documentation.
No one to blame but themselves. Should've stayed home, applied legally to be immigrants, or applied for asylum from Mexico.
Now look what's happened to them, and their children.
They rolled the dice and lost.

Many countries have had enough of waves of people walking in over their open borders [or rocking up in boats] undocumented/uninvited.

Trump was consistently down in the polling, got worked over in the debates, and ended up losing the popular vote by 3 million votes.  He won the electoral college by fewer than 80,000 votes.  If not for the FBI’s intervention (putting aside for a moment the help Putin provided) Trump certainly would have lost.

Huckster’s argument is not only illogical it also doesn’t fit the facts. In other words for her, a statement like any other; pulled directly from her behind.

More voter fraud fraud...

https://www.businessinsider.com/texas-secretary-of-state-retracts-figures-on-illegal-voters-2019-2

Again, I apply a simple test; if voter ID is such a good idea, why do the people advocating for it need to lie to make their case?

Meanwhile, almost total silence from Republicans on North Carolina. Including from our resident great defender of the legitimacy of our elections, who has studiously kept posting subjects limited to Smollett and the DOW while Harris is revealed to be complicit in the scheme there.

Qunnipac poll this week found 56% of black voters in Virginia think Governor Northam should remain as Governor.

Nancy Pelosi, et al of the DNC,  mind your own business.

Native Americans are asserting their territorial rights.

Is "originalist" describing adherence to the law or to the conduct of the Founding Fathers?

Your laws are that anyone and everyone, ...undocumented, unidentified, un-health checked, can walk in over the borders and seek asylum without being detained?

Yup. That’s the law. Their disposition while the claim is examined can be influenced by a number of factors, but we are obliged to take each and every claim seriously. Showing up to claim asylum is no crime here.

DHS on the other hand has been run as a criminal enterprise under the grease fire.

Because they’d rather that guy be governor over ANY republican.

So you can be a terrorist/group of terrorists, walk in and claim asylum, not be detained, and go rent an apartment somewhere and set up a bomb-making 'factory' while your claims are being assessed?
IS/AQ will just looove that.
