A lot to process from today.  Big take away from me…Cohen highlighted crimes/schemes/lies that led directly to Trump winning the election.  Most of this we knew already, but as it gets too often lost in the litany of Trump controversies, worth hearing about on the record, under oath, from a top level insider; Trump OK’d Illegal bribes that prevented the US electorate from hearing about two seedy affairs he maintained while married to the FLOTUS.  Trump knew about and approved of efforts by a hostile foreign power to get him elected through the theft of DNC and Clinton emails.  Trump lied and directed others to lie about the extent of his financial connections to Russia while suspicions swirled about Russia’s role before the election.  Trump refused to release his tax returns because he did not think they would come out clean after they were scrutinized by experts, not because of an IRS audit.

Most embarrassing for us, though?  The fact that Trump ran for President as a marketing stunt and we fucking elected him.  This is who we are now.

Most of the US voting age population pays not the slightest attention to politics, hearings, investigative journalism, or history.  That's who "we" have been for a long time, and it's perfect breeding conditions for plutocracy.

Bambi has posted here victim shaming rants about women wearing skirts that are too short.

One of your female school principals tried to tell her female students about too-short skirts and/or skin tight leggings not being appropriate ...that people could 'see everything' or whatever it was.
She basically had to run into her office and hide from the 'firestorm' of abuse.
She was 100% correct of course.

Must explain why so many women who don't dress like hookers get sexually assaulted.

"I did things and I acted improperly, at times at Mr. Trump’s behest. I blindly followed his demands. My loyalty to Mr. Trump has cost me everything: my family’s happiness, friendships, my law license, my company, my livelihood, my honor, my reputation and soon my freedom.

#####

Bet he wishes he'd never gotten mixed up in 'politics'.

No friendships left?
Yes, 'fair-weather' friends abound in society today.

No reputation, no honor, no company, no law licence, no livelihood...left, and will be an 'ex-con' when he leaves prison.
...all because of his loyalty to Trump.
There are lessons to be learned from this.

Wonder if his family will stick around for the duration?
Wonder if he has any money left?

He was taking orders from someone just as clever as your #1 radio host. He should have seen it coming.

Kim had a good laugh at Indy-one pretending not to notice Michael Cohen questions in Vietnam. Could be why the talks broke up abruptly. With little people you have to look for little reasons.

While not untrue, I’d say we are in a unique position today with multiple feedback loops of false information that make it impossible to even agree on a given set of facts. That fuels and is fueled by an era of hyper partisanship. Republicans would elect Ted Bundy if he had an (R) next to his name, just to own the libs.

Clinton never should have been seen as anything close to Trumps level of disqualifying incompetence and potential for corruption. Yet she was treated that way. Even ten years ago I’m not sure that happens. And not sure Trump gets the level of support he did from his party.

For a convicted liar, I thought Cohen came off as believable.

I hope he announced a book and movie deal tomorrow.

Clooney as Cohen?

Rep Jordan is a fucking douche-bag.

He could have run this hearing pre-'18 election except that his party ducked the responsibility and were part of the cover-up.

Jordan? Investigating then wasn't possible.
He was busy working on book about the kind of "special wrestling moves" he oversaw at tOSU.

Jordan The guy who had all kinds of sexual abuse misconduct as part of his program is now here to impune Cohen's character.

Blank post.  Not sure attachments work too well.  A thought....

Photobucket, Flicker, Dropbox, ICloud, Google Photo.....all those and more, offer free photo hosting.  Then you have a jpg, and you can put its address inside the image brackets and, voila.

I can see Woods as a sleazy law skirting wise-guy barrister . Although Clooney nailed the fixer role "Michael Clayton". He's just got to overlay a " NYC/Longisland jewey"  patina and he could do Cohen in his sleep.

James Woods is Trump's most ardent supporter in Hollywood, last I heard.  Him and a couple other SAG members.

So he might turn down the role.  Then again, "it's called acting, my dear fellow."

As Lady GaGa is hastening to let everyone know, after her apparent pheromone-sharing with Brad at the Oscars.

While he's a not nearly as big as James Woods, there's a real good actor named Nick Searcy, who was in "Justified" (a Yankguy Top 5) who is so pro-Trump that I'm surprised he ever gets work.
