He's still struggling to grasp how having your name "purged" from the registered voter list could conceivably have an adverse effect on your ability to vote.  Not everyone has lots of free time to go wrangle with bureaucracy.  Like the working poor.

Hey, another topic for meaningful discussion, though apparently Ward thinks "discussion" means he makes a comment and then ignores the responses to it that have substance.

Or, as he would have it, LOL.

But Jerry Nadler and the House Judiciary Committee are not current divided, among those to the left of center, at least.

Sounds to me as if Hoda Muthana is not a US citizen and therefore neither is her son and they will not be coming to the United States.

RE: cleaning up voting list.
There are legitimate reasons for removing names from these lists - death and moving into another state/county.  I see no reason why this should not be a reasonable "housekeeping" matter.

For sure, some cleanups are legit.  I think suppression came up in Georgia because it was done overzealously and in a way that worked selectively against minority voters who just didn't vote in every election.  And, IIRC, some we're not notified they had been scrubbed, for "inactivity,"  but were still in the state, and seeing an election they DID want to vote in, were finding themselves to be unregistered at the last moment.

The judge refused to block the trial, denying the state's request. Ohio wanted to wait until after the 2020 election SCOTUS decided the Wisconsin and Maryland cases.

On a similar Issue, Voter ID's,  I have never been asked to present a picture ID to vote.
I give my name and address, my birthdate, and sign my signature. period.  Of course, other
Jurisdictions can do it differently, but the Gov't issued photo ID requirement is just what opponents
Say it is: a means to deny voting rights to a portion of the population.  The portion that one political party has maintained "is too ignorant to be informed voters."

It's by state, isn't it?

So you are saying there are REPUBLICAN states?

“Almost immediately upon sending the list, the government had an ‘oops’ moment, realizing that 25,000 names should not have been included,” Biery wrote in reference to the naturalized citizens erroneously flagged for review. “It appears this is a solution looking for a problem.”
