The first trump espionage prison cell is full. Only 1000 more to go. Popcorn optional. Butter to taste.

It’s still twice what Nixon’s campaign manager got and it’s the first half of his sentencing from the right wing cracker of his two judges.

People should really start throwing their shoes at trump.

I looked at trump’s cabinet. Of the 13 confirmed officials 8 would probably follow Pence in triggering the 25th amendment when it becomes embarrassingly obviously necessary. Ben Carson is the wild card. Ross, DeVos, Treasury munchkin, Nielsen, and Acosta are all too deep into trump and/or worse things. Chao is a bridge to the Senate where Pence will pre-clear it. Pompeo was there from the getgo, but I think he thinks he has a future in a different color onesie than Paul Manafort. Perry owes him nothing, so when there’s nothing trump can do... that goes for others as well.

People who aren’t loyal to country won’t be loyal to each other.

Manafort’s lawyer had an interesting statement after the sentencing.

Its been parsed down to “Huge collusion. My client is fucked. He will likely die in prison.”

U. N. Predicts Disaster if Global Warming Not Checked
PETER JAMES SPIELMANN
June 29, 1989

UNITED NATIONS (AP) _ A senior U.N. environmental official says entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000.

Coastal flooding and crop failures would create an exodus of ″eco- refugees,′ ′ threatening political chaos, said Noel Brown, director of the New York office of the U.N. Environment Program, or UNEP.

He said governments have a 10-year window of opportunity to solve the greenhouse effect before it goes beyond human control.

As the warming melts polar icecaps, ocean levels will rise by up to three feet, enough to cover the Maldives and other flat island nations, Brown told The Associated Press in an interview on Wednesday.

Coastal regions will be inundated; one-sixth of Bangladesh could be flooded, displacing a fourth of its 90 million people. A fifth of Egypt’s arable land in the Nile Delta would be flooded, cutting off its food supply, according to a joint UNEP and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency study.

″Ecological refugees will become a major concern, and what’s worse is you may find that people can move to drier ground, but the soils and the natural resources may not support life. Africa doesn’t have to worry about land, but would you want to live in the Sahara?″ he said.

UNEP estimates it would cost the United States at least $100 billion to protect its east coast alone.

Shifting climate patterns would bring back 1930s Dust Bowl conditions to Canadian and U.S. wheatlands, while the Soviet Union could reap bumper crops if it adapts its agriculture in time, according to a study by UNEP and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis.

This projection of future trends in 1989 has largely been borne out by developments since.  Changes in catastrophic weather and coastal inundations, further melting of glaciers and ice caps, rise in average global temps...these things are happening.  And yes, we would have had to reduce carbon emissions around 2000, back to earlier levels, to really stop the momentum that the current warming has developed.  Some of what happens now is beyond our control.  Some of what happens in the next decades we can still take steps to avoid.  And should.

Thanks for pointing out that climatological models have been pointing out longterm trends even back in the 80s.  The key takeaway, for you, is that these models generally point to a trend whose time frame is in decades and so a precise timeline for specific events cannot be made.

Trump Falsely Claims That Manafort Judge Declared There Was ‘No Collusion’ With Russia

What Judge T.S. Ellis III actually said was that Mr. Manafort was “not before this court for anything having to do with collusion with the Russian government to influence this election.”

So, Trump lied.  I really think that all people of conscience who do not want to see a chronic liar as POTUS for 8 years, should make a point of calling out all of Trump's lies.  Don't become resigned to all this as normal.  The opposition party needs to really double down on Trump's lies and not worry that they're not "staying positive."  Keeping a chronic liar and slanderer out of the Oval Office IS a positive outcome for democracy and for America.  And what about you Conservatives out there?  Is the integrity of that office important to you?  Is having an honest and dedicated public servant in that office important to you?  What's Marco doing these days, besides causing Venezuelan power outages with his new Iphone app?

Wow, scientist made the right call but didn’t nail it to the correct microsecond. Therefore mock the call.

You really should watch the last episode of the “Dinosaurs” television series.

I understand your points.  But what should I do if I received a tax cut?

All hands, Abandon trump!

Only 20,000 jobs created in February, and that figure will likely be adjusted downward in the next report. Trump slump on!

And some kindly soul leaked the paper trail of Kushner’s clearance snafu to congressional investigators.

By noon already it’s been a deadly day for republican prospects.

If the GOP dies, the USA lives.

Normally I would point out the concept of "outlier" but Donald.Trump likes to boast about them when they are in his favor, so fuck him.

Heard through the grapevine there won't be any "collusion" wording in Mueller report.

Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar ripped former President Barack Obama in an interview published Friday, belittling his “pretty face” and saying his agenda of hope and change was an illusion.

She cited the “caging of kids” at the Mexican border and the “droning of countries around the world” on Obama’s watch — and argued that he wasn’t much different from President Trump

“We can’t be only upset with Trump,” the freshman firebrand told Politico Magazine.

“His policies are bad, but many of the people who came before him also had really bad policies. They just were more polished than he was,” Omar said.

“And that’s not what we should be looking for anymore. We don’t want anybody to get away with murder because they are polished. We want to recognize the actual policies that are behind the pretty face and the smile.”

Hmmmm
Is Pelosi busy working on another House resolution concerning speech if Omar continues talking?
