It is not enough to get out and protest, you actually need to make change in your life.

Park the car and ride the bus, and take the train, and ride your bicycle, etc. 

People can also put solar panels on the roofs of their homes, such as will be demanded in California.

And new cars need to be electric, and new diesel trucks can run on Natural Gas, and buses can run on Natural Gas, etc. Trains can run on electricity and Natural Gas.

Former coal workers need jobs in the green economy.

And power needs to be generated by clean sources, such as wind, solar, geo-thermal, hydro, etc. And even Natural Gas is better than coal. We need to stop using coal completely. 

People also need to be able to work from home with home offices, so they do not have to travel for work.

And neighborhoods need to be like in Rome, where everything you need is right there in your neighborhood, with subways, and trains, and buses, you do not even need to own a car in Rome. 

There are many ways that people can take action to reduce their carbon foot-print, and to reduce pollution. 

And the homeless people can be paid to plant trees, etc, jobs can be created for desperate people.

The green economy will create a lot of jobs, as well as helping to save our planet, and making for healthier air to breathe and cleaner water to drink, etc.

Thanks. It is a bummer that they cancelled the train, but they will have the high speed train between Bakersfield and Merced, so we can go ride it and check out the technology and engineering, and if people like it then maybe people will want to finish the project. And the train between Anaheim and Vegas might still happen. Hopefully the USA gets more high speed trains, but at least we will have the one from Bakersfield to Merced.

Why it happened is crystal clear, to me anyway. [What sent him crazy with hate...he allegedly wrote it all down, so it wasn't hard to understand.]

How it happened is crystal clear too, he had access to the weapons and a legal licence to own them. NZ had tried to change its gun laws several times in recent history but failed....their PM said.
No absolute security at the mosques...a shooter with big guns could just walk right in and slaughter worshippers.[same as in America and just about anywhere really].

Will there be revenge attacks? incited by IS etc using "see what they're doing to Muslims" as ammunition. [mentioned in my media today].
Pity I can't arm myself for self defence;...like Americans can do.
There were revenge attacks by Muslims after "the Cronulla Riots" in Sydney.

There were ""Muslim riots" in Sydney in 2012...including people walking on the street chanting; "Obama, Obama....we love Osama!"
...rioters assaulting cops and trying to smash their way into the US Consul in Martin Place.

I assume you mean 'man-made climate change'...because any other kind we can do nothing about.

What if?
Gradually, over time, replace fossil fuels with renewables.

Chelsea Clinton received an earful in New York City on Friday night from a college student who said the former first daughter "stoked" the hatred behind the massacre earlier in the day in Christchurch, New Zealand.
It happened at a vigil on the New York University campus for the 49 people killed and dozens of others wounded in the attack.

“I’m so sorry that you feel that way,” Clinton responded. “Certainly, it was never my intention. I do believe words matter. I believe we have to show solidarity.”

Some of the NYU students told Clinton she wasn't welcome at the vigil. One of the students referred to Clinton's recent condemnation of Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn, over the congresswoman's anti-Semitic remarks.
"We should expect all elected officials, regardless of party, and all public figures to not traffic in anti-Semitism," Clinton tweeted on Feb. 10.

“This, right here, is a result of a massacre stoked by people like you and the words that you put out into the world,” one student told Clinton. “And I want you to know that and I want you to feel that deep down inside. Forty-nine people died because of the rhetoric you put out there.”

All she did was try and help people by calling out a politician over "anti-Semitism", then attend a vigil for the innocents murdered in NZ...to show solidarity. "ANZUS" and Chelsea's kind spirit.
