This must show my age, but when I saw all the recent obituaries, at first I thought, Nipsey Russell died?  Didn't he die over a decade ago?  In any case, I think it's a great homage for a performer to have someone adopt your name, changing only a couple letters.

"We will show you the plan after you elect us" is not something you say when you have a good plan:

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/02/us/politics/obamacare-aca-trump.html?action=click&module=Top%20Stories&pgtype=Homepage

They had ten years.  Came up with nothing.  19 more months isn't going to do the trick.

And if Republicans think this transparently false promise is going to take Healthcare off the table in the 2020 election they have severely underestimated the intelligence of voters (not their voters, but the voters in general.)

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Monday that a pair of allegations of inappropriate kissing and touching against former Vice President Joe Biden should “not at all” disqualify him from the 2020 race.

“No. No, I do not,” Pelosi told reporters when asked if she thinks the allegations from two women are disqualifying.

“I don’t think that this disqualifies him from being president,” she said while walking to the House chamber. “Not at all.”

The same Nancy Pelosi who took all of 2 seconds to throw Virginia Governor Ralph Northam under the bus for appearing in blackface when he was in college.

Is being accused of varying degrees of sexual assault by 14 women disqualifying?
Is bragging about getting away with unwanted kisses and grabbing women by their vaginas disqualifying?
How about cheating on a wife who just bore your son with a porn star and playboy model?

Apparently not.  So how can we even start a conversation about how Biden's behavior "disqualifies" him?

Or is the supposition here that Democrats have higher standards than Republicans for the moral behavior of their representatives?

I think the logic for some Independents is "If I'm going to lean Democrat, they have to be the anti-Trump - pure in the ways he is not."  It's a binary, black/white, sort of thinking.  But I talk to people who seriously will not vote for anyone unless some party coughs up someone elegant and stainless and incorruptible.  It's sort of the other side of the coin of cynicism, the cynical view that all politicians are lying corrupt and sociopathic.  This attitude makes it oddly easier to vote for a Trump ("hey, they're all like that") and yet harder to vote for a moderately decent person with flaws.  Surprisingly few people actually use reasoned analysis to select a candidate. #gutbrain

Today is "Equal Pay Day."

Here is what Sabrina Cervantes posted on Facebook, and here is my response...

----

Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes is in Eastvale, California.

1 hr · ‪

Today we recognize #EqualPayDay. When JFK signed the #EqualPayAct in 1963, women made 59¢ to the man’s dollar. While it‘s now 80¢, there’s still much work to be done. I will keep fighting at the State Capitol for us to do better & #CloseTheGap. When women succeed, we all succeed!‬

And my response...

Tony -

Women also make great business owners, in which case they get to decide how much they pay other women, and women need to be fair when they pay other women. As women rise to leadership positions, then the women need to create an environment of fairness.

Salute,

Tony V.

Well thank God you can always post at "Stormfront" then.

Exactly why there are White Supremacists/White nationalists in America and elsewhere today...no one wants to condemn anti-White racism.

You have it totally backwards.

The White Supremacists have been with us for as long as there have been whites, Bambi.
Not a lot of lynching of whites going on in North America ever. Not a lot of negroes talking about the whites as a less er species that needed to be watched over because they could not function on their own. Nor claiming whites were happier being slaves.

And even now, it is still not happening.

Nah...I have it exactly the right way, forwards...today.
Today, some misguideds think anti-White racism is all just fine.
Andrew Bolt is trying to tell them it's not. He's trying to tell them that it could lead to another "White loser" snapping, and all that could entail.
It's also not what should be happening in today's "no hate speech" desired world.

No, you have it exactly wrong.

White supremacists have espoused the same bullshit for centuries. They have new excuses for the same lame lines - and you are one of their supporters.

Says you.

Such a brilliant rebuttal.

Which part of it are you disputing, Bambi?

I know what's happened for centuries and in modern times.

Disputing that you didn't answer the question; "So, I take it then that you are, today, supporting hate speech and racism...as long as White people are the victims?"
Simple yes or no answer. In the absence of a 'no' answer, or in the absence of any answer, then it's reasonable to assume it is otherwise.

I already answered the question, asshole.

And you said "says you," which suggests you disputed part of what I wrote before your bogus "question."

Which part of "White supremacists have espoused the same bullshit for centuries. They have new excuses for the same lame lines - and you are one of their supporters." are you disputing, Bambi?

LOL

LOL

This is the same poster who ignored his party's racist conduct and his party's kidnapping of children, keeping them from their parents.

LOL.

You were and are an amoral hypocrite who continues to refuse to engage in meaningful discussion.

Don't change the subject

Is it or is it not disqualifying for Biden?

If not, Al Franken wants in.

Kiiid, you and Ward have been changing the subject all the way along. It's hillarious having you tell somebody else not to.

Clearly, grabbing pussies was not disqualifying and neither was extra-marital relationships, so I don't think Uncle Joe's creepy mannerisms is disqualifying.

And Al is welcome to run. This is the "Me Generation," after all.

But while I don't think it's disqualifying (any more than being anti-abortion rights is disqualifying for a Democratic presidential hopeful), I think it will significantly reduce what little chance he already had of winning.

And I think it should.

But I think the number of laws that Trump and his businesses have broken, the number of contractors Trump has refused to pay, and his inability to resist hiring crooks to do work for his administration ought to have 100 times the impact that Uncle Joe's conduct has and I doubt that your party is likely to be nearly so discriminating.

Putting aside the clear differences between Franken and Biden, what does "disqualifying" even mean?

It means being underage or not a natural born US citizen, of course!

This is a given.

The Dems also have a higher standard for conduct in office than the GOP does. It's not even close - and please do not think this is an endorsement of the Dems' standard for conduct or morality in governance!
