Immigration reform is the only answer.  Reform not meaning just closing the centers.  BETTER centers (I give Obama credit for at least this 2012 effort and what came after).  Centers where families AND children can be housed together.  But that takes BUDGETED $$ - and the WIN in it for Trump keeps the Democrats from approving the measures.

The last time anybody had a supermajority was part of the first two years of Obama's administration and even then it was 'merely' the 60 votes in the Senate that let them get past a filibuster. The GOP has not had as many as 60 Senators, let alone 2/3rds of the Senate or the House. Both?
