Cocked and ready to fire at all times!  You never know when you're going to run across bad ISIS people.

"It's not about prosecutable collusion.  It's about did Trump do ANYTHING wrong.  White House took a bad line here - by refuting everything - such that if ANYTHING at all is there, they lose"

Toobin, CNN

Interesting.  We want our presidents lily white.  Hear that, Kennedy fans?

Only a little collusion isn’t a crime. That’s what you are going with?

Good luck.

I didnt say it.

Senator Bernie Sanders, who sponsored the bill in the Senate, said: “I am disappointed, but not surprised, that Trump has rejected the bipartisan resolution to end US involvement in the horrific war in Yemen. The people of Yemen desperately need humanitarian help, not more bombs.”

The California congressman Ro Khanna, a Democrat, added: “From a president elected on the promise of putting a stop to our endless wars, this veto is a painful missed opportunity.” Khanna argued the bill marked a step forward, despite the veto. “It sends a clear signal to the Saudis that they need to lift their blockade and allow humanitarian assistance into Yemen if they care about their relationship with Congress,” Khanna said.

The fighting in the Arab world’s poorest country has left millions suffering from shortages of food and medical care and has pushed the country to the brink of famine.

David Miliband, the former British foreign secretary who now heads the International Rescue Committee, denounced the veto as “morally wrong and strategically wrongheaded”. In a statement he said Yemen was at “breaking point with 10m people on the brink of famine”.

The reality of Trump's veto is that he's supporting the deaths of innocent noncombatants.  Wake up, Repubes.

The US is contributing to a war that is directly leading/could lead to the starving deaths of millions of people, but kiidcarter8 thinks opposition to it boils down to "you just don't like Trump."

Sure - thanks, Needs.

Yes, as Saudi Arabia can not continue the war without US support, it would force a treaty, or at the very least pressure them to allow humanitarian aid to enter the country and/or make maintaining their current blockade impossible.

Happy to help, but as per usual, paying a little attention to the news and informing yourself would be the better option than depending on me, kiidcarter8.

Needs answered, with facts.  Facts also cited at the end of the BBC article you yourself posted.  The BBC article specifically mentions the civilian deaths due to bombing and the current blockade.  And much larger numbers of children in state of advanced malnutrition.

Didn't Trump promise to get us out of long-term wars?  Odd that he's been fine with prolonging this one for years, and is now rejecting a measure to bring all parties to the table.

So, Barton - you agree with Needs that the people of Yemen being malnourished will have been halted simply by Trump having signed the bill?

Sure I did.  Nowhere did it say what would occur if we pulled out.

And no Democrats will say either.  They just talk about dead kids - as if that all goes away as US takes away its support.
