I always tell folks, when I think of the Holocaust and the tragedy of the Holocaust in the fact that it was my ancestors — Palestinians — who lost their land and some lost their lives, their livelihood, their human dignity, their existence in many ways had been wiped out, and some people’s passports — I mean, just all of it was in the name of trying to create a safe haven for Jews, post-the Holocaust, post-the tragedy and the horrific persecution of Jews across the world at that time. And I love the fact that it was my ancestors that provided that, right?, in many ways. But they did it in a way that took their human dignity away, right, and it was forced on them.

Sounds proud to me.

It is, you jerk.

Proud that they tried to provide a safe haven for the Jews.

Godz, you disgust me.

Question for you kiidcarter8:

Do you think the honorable Representative from Michigan was saying that thoughts of the Holocaust calm her?

No

Great. So naturally you think the Republicans, including Trump, who have misrepresented her words in order to paint her as Anti-Semitic should apologize.

I think she misspoke.

I have no opinion on the Republican response.  She opened the door to critique.  Seems fair game in this current political world.

Followed by a West Wing reference that he somehow thinks has some relevance to the real world.

But he did provide a link!

Meanwhile, The Trump Administration is building a case for war with Iran based on falsehoods in order to distract from their own incompetence and corruption (is this going to be a thing that every Republican Administration has to do now?) the Attorney General is fully gearing up to abuse his office for Trump's political gain, and its been confirmed that the planets carbon dioxide levels are higher now than at any point in human history...so there are other things we should be talking about.

We are at war already

Wait....we're not?  But i thought Trump - if elected - would have us at war with North Korea.  No, Russia.  No, it was China.

I dont like the morning after pill - except in rape cases.

Not sure about this IUD thing.  Just so you don't need condoms?

Fertilized egg is destroyed - this is the key.

People who can actually get pregnant may see things differently.   People depending on teenage boys to be responsible, mature, and always use condoms...may see things differently.

Yeah, no man-made influence on global warming. All our models are broken.

Nobody saw this coming.

Saying Trump hasn't yet gotten us into a major war is not the most compelling endorsement of a 2020 candidate I've heard.

Oh, but temperatures go up and they go down! This is totally normal!

That's 84* Farenheit, for the math-challenged among us.
