So easy to spot some bogus bit of  propaganda poached from some industry sponsored website.   Indicators include:

-no evidence cited from a peer-reviewed scientific journal

-no cause/effect structure laid out (that would open them up to fact-based critique)

-isolated factoid that ignores other trends (see Larry's article on pollution deaths) and technologies

- convenient ignoring of China's current ramping up of alternative energy tech

- utter lack of any even hypothetical basis cited from a reputable scientist

Yeah, PT Barnum was right.

You have to squash pseudofacts like that one.  You don't want impressionable minds strolling through here and thinking that's a real fact. 

It's you and me who are more vulnerable, if the fossil fuel spigot suddenly turned off, than the Asian or African peasant.  The strawman is that anyone wants to suddenly withdraw fossil fuels.  Making movers and shakers and innovators sound insane is a basic trick of propaganda.  Most rational people want to get behind alternate energies and phase them in as rapidly as reasonably possible.  Yeah, that might hurt the profits of Big Oil for a while.  Boo-fucking-hoo.  We've got a planet to save.
