I really dont think any of you are behind Biden so point is moot here.  I think you will be working to present another candidate
I'm "behind" anybody who can beat Trump.

While I wouldn’t endorse it as the message for any one candidate (see Warren slowly moving up the polling on the basis of strong policy proposals) you cant deny that this will be THE dynamic of 2020, and why a relative little known candidate with zero cable presence like Corey Booker can beat Trump by five points in a national head-to-head poll right now.
Yep.  And if I can add another cliché to the mix, Democrats can't let the perfect be the enemy of the good (or even the "okay") in the general election.   I thought HRC was a mediocre candidate (not because I disagreed with her policies, but because she has never been good at defining herself),  and while that didn't stop me for voting for her, I believe, unfortunately, that the perceived mediocrity stopped a goodly amount of people from doing the same..

Clinton was, as we’ve said before, a perfect candidate for President who was terrible at being a candidate for President.  Everything she told America about Trump was true, that he was dangerously unqualified, ignorant and incurious about policy, and inappropriately beholden to Russian interests.  But she lacked the fire and inspiration to get people to listen.  Now Americans have had two and a half years of a Trump Administration and that message has gotten through.  Which is another reason why kiidcarter8’s argument of “look at how much ground Trump made up in 2016” doesn’t hold up.  The con job Trump implemented can’t work four years later because Americans know now who he is, what kind of President he would be.  If the Rasmussen polling was right, this wouldn’t be a big problem for him going in to 2020.

It isn’t.

The kind of PRESIDENT Trump is is offsetting the kind of PERSON he is - and this is why he has a chance at re-election.

No, and your repeating it still doesn't make it so.

He has a chance of winning exactly because of the kind of person he is. His fanbase likes that he lies about things. They like that he is a racist. They like that he is often unpredictable.

As president, he has been taken in by Kim Jong Un, by Putin, and others. He has refused to delegate the task of protecting our elections to anybody and failed to make it a priority. His tariffs have ruined farmers, businesses, etc. His refusal to accept science has damaged the planet's chance of a decent future.

And your image of his economic "success" is based on as many lies as the rest of what he has done. He promised to fix the federal deficit in three years. It's going the other way. I cannot deny that more people are working. But the rest of it is vaporware.

I think you are incorrect.  Media plays up the followers of Trump who enjoy his hysterics.  Many others just appreciate what he has done for the nation.

The ones who have a hard time stomaching a constitution that gets in the way of their bigotry like what he’s doing to the country.

The ones he’s helping rip the place off like what he’s doing to the country.

58% are ready to make him walk the plank.

America is not dead yet Kid, despite your wishes and trump’s best efforts.

1992-Venezuela is 3rd richest country in Western Hemisphere
1997- Venezuela 2nd largest purchaser of F-150
2001-Venezuela elects Socialist President to fight “income inequality”
2004-Private Healthcare is socialized
2007-Higher Education becomes free
2009- Socialist bans private ownership of guns
2012- Bernie Sanders says “Venezuelans are living the American Dream better than Americans”
2014- Opposition leaders put in jails
2016- Food shortages are widespread
2017- Constitution and elections suspended
2019- Venezuelans massacred by their Government. Civil War.
2019- Bernie Sanders, campaigning for US President, says he wants to bring a Socialist Revolution to America.

We elected somebody who said he was going to make America great again, Ward.

The reverse is happening.

People can say all sorts of things, but it doesn't make them necessarily true.

Hugo Chavez was as big a liar as Trump, but with a weaker government around him, though Mitch is doing what he can to help balance the odds.

Many people are gullible.   We need to start teaching Civics again at the primary and secondary school level.  He's an ignorant corrupt lying gasbag who attracts Far Right manipulators who are trying to steer America away from constitutional democracy, and towards white nationalist plutocracy.   Anything accomplished has been done in spite of, not because of, 45.   Pull your head out of Alec Jones's rectum.

A love story for the ages, just as a change of pace. Sure, they're both male, but still.

#45 just can’t help himself.

https://nypost.com/2019/06/12/trump-says-hed-take-dirt-on-2020-opponent-from-foreign-powers/

He just doesn’t give a shit about our nation...

Looks honest to me.

Like I said - you like the kind of man he is and ignore the kind of president (or American).

Had any Democratic president said that, you would have wet yourself in your upset.

Ya don’t say?

https://www.cnn.com/2019/06/11/us/missouri-traffic-stops-black-drivers-trnd/index.html

"Using stops as a policing tool for crime prevention needs to cease," Pruitt said. "The fact that somebody is driving in a particular area, and a police officer feels that that person or individuals are out of place -- that, in itself, should not justify them impeding or intruding on their lives by stopping them and searching their vehicle."

#####

Why not?
Crime prevention.

The report also looked at data on arrests and searches during vehicle stops. About 6.37% of the stops of blacks and 6.26% of the stops of Hispanics resulted in arrest, compared with about 4.25% of the stops of whites, the report said.

In which you demonstrate your insistance on ignorance.

Police arrest more Blacks and more Hispanics for equivalent situations. Prosecutors charge more of them with crimes. Judges sentence them to 19% longer sentences for equivalent crimes and histories.

No, Bambi-ignorance, it is not about crime prevention. It's about driving while Black.

Let's take an obvious example;

White middle class area...2am, carful of young Black males cruising around, not looking like they're going anywhere in particular.
You don't want the cops to investigate?

Of course, they could be going home after a concert to the grandmother's home of the guy in the middle of the back seat...at her insistence...to all stay the night....'safe driving'/'safe arrival home'.
Or they could be up to no good.

"Good evening driver, you're out late tonite, may I see your licence and registration please".
Nothing wrong with that.
Let them tell the cops [should always be two in a patrol car] where they're going and what they're doing.

All the shit will be out there. The walls are closing in and you’re seriously talking re-election?

If the good dear lord does smite the sumbitch it won’t stop the investigative hearings and Mike Pence is on deck with an 0-2 count before he gets to the plate.

There’s a storm coming and you Republicans are gonna have to decide if you’re Americans or nah.
You’re gonna have to decide if you’re gonna put on that brown shirt in your closet.

Achtung, bitches...

(a) Yeah, there is something wrong with it, but...

(b) That has nothing to do with what is happening in Missouri, Bambi-ignorance, anymore than New York City's illegal Stop-and-Frisk was honestly about controling drugs in NYC.

https://www.wistv.com/2019/06/10/south-carolina-upgrades-new-paper-based-voting-system/

South Carolina has upgraded to a new paper-nased voting system.

Wonder when Florida will do that. Or Ohio. Or a bunch of other places, given that the voting machines' computer software companies have admitted that they put in a backdoor.

Motherfucker I got pulled over on my own damn street in N. Amityville!

4am after a fun night out I was on my street and almost home when a Suffolk County 1st Pct sector car passed me and then slowed. So I slowed. He slowed. I slowed more. He slowed more. I stopped. He gave me lights and a bloop. I turned off the car and put my fore arms on the steering wheel with my palms down and fingers spread.

“Where you going?”

“Home, officer.”

“Where do you live?”

“Three houses down on the right, officer.”

“You know you were tailgating, right?”

“I didn’t mean to, officer. I just thought you were looking for something over on the side of the road and I was just trying to stay out of your way.”

“Ok. You’re good.”

“Thank You Officer, good night!”

Thank GOD! I got to my house barely in time to take a piss behind my car. Shaking so damn hard I could barely get unzipped and all the while thanking the lord i got through.

That was one of the more pleasant traffic stops I’ve experienced over the years.
