$ 15 dollar an hour minimum wages are  at Costco and Amazon,($17 at Bank of America) and coming soon to Target and, inevitably, to McDonalds—-all driven by market-forces NOT the heavy hand of Governments.

Huh.  I thought as soon as the wages went to $15 dollars restaurants were going to go to robot servers...

And of course, the higher minimum wages these companies are setting has nothing to do with the 18 States that have raised their minimums this year, some by cost-of-living, many as high as $15 per.  No one but no one said that this would be one of the resultants of those heavy-handed government mandated raises.  Definitely no one on this very forum.

Minimum wages set by government policy is bad policy.
Fortunately an expanding economy makes such a policy needless.
Cases in point are McDonald’s and Walmart who are raising minimums because they both need to hire working class employees. And the likelihood of continued economic and wage growth is high according to a Wall Street Journal survey of economists.

It must be a comfort to know your misunderstandings are shared by others.

As a congressman from Oklahoma, Bridenstine claimed in 2013 that global temperatures had "stopped rising 10 years ago" and dismissed the Obama administration's spending on climate science.

But as NASA administrator, Bridenstine acknowledged that his views on the topic have evolved. He endorsed the findings of the National Climate Assessment -- which included contributions from his agency -- and told Congress in May 2018 the report "clearly stated it is extremely likely -- is the language they use -- that human activity is the dominant cause of global warming."

In that town hall, Bridenstine was more specific, saying he has "evolved."

"Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas. We're putting it into the atmosphere in volumes that we haven't seen, and that greenhouse gas is warming the planet. That is absolutely happening, and we are responsible for it," he said.

It's nice to know that a skeptic can learn that he was wrong.
