Trump rollout was beautiful.

KAG!
He is in great shape if the Dems nominate Hillary Clinton again.

Do you think she would win the popular vote again?
She is not running. Who knows and who cares?

These days I amuse myself by replacing Iran with the united States in the run up to war / demonization of Iran.

The latest:
Quote
it needs to recognize that the Iranian mullahs US leaders are implacable and driven by religious beliefs. They are not inclined to compromise, nor can they be bought purely through economic incentives

From the same article:

The Iranians Americans are generally bellicose and somewhat unpredictable, and we they should not underestimate their our ability to conduct serious combat operations — both overtly and covertly.

Desperate Booker, Warren, and DeBlahzeeoh! Go after Joe. Why? Because he was able to work with the opposition.

What do you expect to get done in the Senate?

McConnell doesn’t give a shit about anything but the acquisition and accumulation of power. He is nakedly partisan and would the country to the ground before giving any Democrat anything.

If you go by the polls from this time in 2007 the 2008 election would have been between Hillary and Rudy...

Joe Biden is like a favorite cardigan; comfortable, familiar but a bit thread worn and if you wear it everyday it’s gonna fray and come apart.

Joe will be fine... for a while.

I'm sure its nothing...

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/06/19/business/deutsche-bank-money-laundering-trump.html

Federal authorities are investigating whether Deutsche Bank complied with laws meant to stop money laundering and other crimes, the latest government examination of potential misconduct at one of the world’s largest and most troubled banks, according to seven people familiar with the inquiry.

The investigation includes a review of Deutsche Bank’s handling of so-called suspicious activity reports that its employees prepared about possibly problematic transactions, including some linked to President Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner, according to people close to the bank and others familiar with the matter.

The "opposition?"  Eastland was a hardcare white supremacist and segregationist.  He didn't just oppose the Civil Rights Act, he warned against the "mongrelization" of the country, refereed to blacks as "an inferior race" and supported the Mississippi Sovereignty Commission which helped carry out assassinations of civil rights leaders.

Biden needs to be more mindful, particularly in this atmosphere where White Supremacists are responding to the tacit approval they are getting from our leadership.

And it doesn't even make sense.  OK, he is saying "I could even work with this horrible person" but hte person is horrible because he hates black people, and Biden is white!  So they could work together on farm subsidies?  What does that prove?

Eastland also told Jacob Javits, "I don't like you or your kind", and presumably he did not mean Republicans.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration on Wednesday completed one of its biggest rollbacks of environmental rules, replacing a landmark Obama-era effort that sought to wean the nation’s electrical grid off coal-fired power plants and their climate-damaging pollution.

Environmental Protection Agency chief Andrew Wheeler, a former coal industry lobbyist, signed a replacement rule that gives states leeway in deciding whether to require efficiency upgrades at existing coal plants.

Wheeler said coal-fired power plants remained essential to the power grid, something that opponents deny. “Americans want reliable energy that they can afford,” he said at a news conference. There’s no denying “the fact that fossil fuels will continue to be an important part of the mix,” he said.
  - AP

Sort of weird to roll back rules that promote more efficient coal plants.

Not all that simplistic

Obama overreached - but was re-elected for it.

kiidcarter8 can’t abide by simplistic arguments.

Make a complicated one for us then. Tell us why this was “over reach” and not justified regulation of an industry whose side effects are a public health and safety issue.

What does that have to do with Biden?  In terms of Civil Rights Legislation Eastland lost every battle.  If there was White Supremacy then it was crushed. And Biden helped defeat it.
But far be it for me to referee a democrat spat that seeks to resurrect the ugliness of the 50’s and 60’s Biden helped bury.

It was an additional factoid about Eastland. Go fight with yourself, jerk. I like Biden.
