Mueller confirms that the President of the United States would be an indicted criminal if he was not able to use his position as a shield.

Predictably REDSTATEWARD and kiidcarter8 are unmoved.

Now, before we go to questions, I want to go back to one thing that was said this morning by Mr. Lieu who said, and I quote, “You didn’t charge the president because of the OLC opinion.” That is not the correct way to say it. As we say in the report, and as I said at the opening, we did not reach a determination as to whether the president committed a crime.

Where does this leave us? Basically, exactly where we were before, which should be unsurprising to anyone who watched as Mueller performed at peak Bartleby all morning, refusing to read words from his own report (leaving House members to read them instead) and declining to amplify anything in the report beyond noting that it was “correct.” He mulishly resisted anyone’s characterization of any legal elements of, say, obstruction. And now, the one bit of news that seemed to have been news has been clarified back into the same exact legal language as was carefully crafted in the report. . It was a misstep that was misunderstood and then retracted, a perfect capsule performance of how dragging an unwilling witness into a polemical hearing was never going to go well

Every senator should now be eliminated from your consideration too be Democratic nominee for President 2020.

About 95% of them were, Kid.

>50% had been eliminated as good citizens.

Offers Pour In To Cover Pa. Students' Meal Debt, But School Officials Not Interested

After district officials threatened to turn children over to foster care for the unpaid amount, a prominent media figure and a corporate CEO offered to settle the debt, but were rebuffed.

Because the school is not interested in the money, but in shaming the kids' families for being poor.

From the hearing that accomplished nothing and won’t lead to any further hearings or reports,

There is footage of the reticent, reluctant, revered witness stating that Trump boosted wiki leaks knowing that it was both criminal and wrong and is still fighting to obstruct justice by obscuring this fact from the entities responsible for our security, our justice, and to obscure it from the public at large as it prepares to vote.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t a shorter way of saying “giving a boost” promoting?

A guy wants to break in to the second story of a house. He turns to you and says “gimme a boost.”

California has lost over 500,000 jobs to China alone, we need to balance trade with China, they need to buy our stuff. Their people need jobs, and our people need jobs too! If they want us to buy their stuff, then they need to buy our stuff.

The Chinese need to buy California wine, and California cheese, and Florida orange juice, and Kentucky Bourbon, and Idaho frozen French fries, and other products from the USA, we have great stuff, it is not punishing them by making them buy our stuff. They will love American products. And China loves McDonald's.

Americans are great at marketing and advertising, and the Chinese already love McDonald's, we can sell them stuff the same way that we sell them Big Macs at McDonald's.

We just need to be able to get our goods into the Chinese markets without the high tariffs so our goods are competitively priced, and we need to be able to do advertising there on their televisions and radios and newspapers, etc. We are great at marketing and advertising and at selling stuff. We can easily sell our stuff in China if we are allowed to.

Salute,

Tony V.

T.V.    What if them there Chinese do not wish to get drunk on California wine and Kentucky bourbon?  Or get obese on Idaho French Fries and Fatty Big Macs from McDonalds?
I wouldn't eat a BigMac if it were given to me and I was hungry, that's how bad they are!

Market to the Chinese things that fit THEIR culture, quite trying to make them assimilate to ours.
Self-determination. That's the ticket.

In leadership training one learns to build on one's strengths. And also it is similar to when one opens an Italian restaurant in Anaheim, the locals love Italian food. The Chinese love McDonald's, so that is one of our strengths, we can build on that. You build on your strengths, that model works in China. And we have products that the people in other nations would love to be able to buy.

We need to balance trade. We need jobs too, our streets are lined with homeless people and we have new immigrants arriving every day who need jobs. And you build on your strengths.

You do not build detention centers and call those job creation. Fuck those jobs.

I would rather have a nice winery making wine, and employing immigrants, and making cheese with milk from my own cows. See, that is how one must think to survive and rise. And it would be great if I could export products to China. (And it would be cool to be able to sell Italian wine in China too.)

And it is like when Guns and Roses goes to Japan, they love American music in Japan. Music is one of America's strengths.

Right now the Chinese markets are not open to our goods, they have McDonald's and other American companies doing business there, but the USA has so much more to sell to the Chinese besides soybeans. We have great stuff that the Chinese will like. We need for the Chinese markets to be open to American products, plain and simple. They need to be fair on trade.

Salute,

Tony V.

Lol.

Schiff: In short, your investigation found evidence that Russia wanted to help Trump win the election, right?

Mueller: I think, generally, that would be accurate. [. . .]

Schiff: Russia committed federal crimes in order to help Donald Trump?

Mueller: You’re talking about the computer crimes charged in our case? Absolutely.

Schiff: Trump campaign officials built their strategy, their messaging strategy, around those stolen documents?

Mueller: Generally, that’s true.

Schiff: And then they lied to cover it up?

Mueller: Generally, that’s true.

But clearly the key exchange here was Mueller parsing his words because he knows the OLC determination protects our “President”. That’s what REDSTATWARD dunks on.

If Obama had given you that tax cut would he be getting the same pass?  Doubt it.

Nadler: And your investigation actually found, quote, “multiple acts by the president that were capable of exerting undue influence over law enforcement investigations, including the Russian interference and obstruction investigations.” Is that correct?

Mueller: Correct.

Nadler: Now, Director Mueller, can you explain in plain terms what that finding means so the American people can understand it?

Mueller: Well, the finding indicates that the president was not exculpated for the acts that he allegedly committed.

Nadler: In fact, you were talking about incidents, quote, “in which the president sought to use his official power outside of usual channels,” unquote, to exert undo influence over your investigations, is that right?

Mueller: That’s correct.

If that isn’t textbook obstruction, then REDSTATEWARD is a Democrat.

Luee says "Better safe than sorry."

I am sure Luee feels much safer knowing this high school kid was prevented from going to the college soccer event.

Fortunately, they had a feeble excuse to hold him, if not to do so for three weeks!

(His mother should be punished for stupidity.)

Puleeze, it is not as if they are going after all Latino names. All have a case history. Looks like this particular family all had false identity papers. It is more than stupid to slip into the US and make up false papers.

The kid was a US citizen.

He was held for three weeks, even when they had an easy way to verify his citizenship.

He was not a threat!

Like I said, I knew you would be happy.

He should blame those entering illegally.

SCHIFF: I’d like to see if we can broaden the aperture at the end of the hearing. From your testimony today, I gather that you believe that knowingly accepting foreign assistance during a presidential campaign is an unethical thing to do.

MUELLER: And a crime.

SCHIFF: And a crime.

MUELLER: And a crime in given circumstances.

SCHIFF: And to the degree that it undermines our democracy and institutions, we can agree that it’s also unpatriotic.

MUELLER: True.

SCHIFF: And wrong.

MUELLER: True.
