From the conservative press

http://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2019/07/trump-tweets-elijah-cummings-impeachment-democrats/594970/

There is no reason that being an utterly racist piece of shit can’t be among the articles of impeachment against trump.

It would be worded as deliberately and consistently placing white supremacy above his oath of office and duties under the constitution both as governing principle and as re-election campaign strategy.

This is not a piece about the Trump administration or even about ICE under the Trump administration.

It is about ICE and it is about the failure to guard our citizens from excessive, inappropriate, extra-legal action:
https://www.aclu.org/blog/speakeasy/us-citizen-wrongfully-deported-mexico-settles-his-case-against-federal-government?fbclid=IwAR3U3Up4MQLRdk942v26Lw7zSw15KOoGJp8DTV05pg2_29_ykdd1XP5oREI

If we do not guarantee legal representation to people in immigration hearings, then we expose our citizens to this kind of bullshit.

It is not as if it stopped a decade ago, after all.

That is the heart of the matter. It should also be an article of impeachment.

Dems need to string together all the high points of Watergate (playing tape), Iran Contra (foreign funny money), White Water (shady real estate), Paula Jones & Monica (29 & counting), Benghazi (border), and emails (Russia) along with echoing the takedown of Jimmy Swaggart. They have about 1 calendar year to do this in hearings putting it on McConnell’s doorstep as they return from summer for a short session in 2020 or, if they think McConnell has a maneuver to sink it, submit it at the very end of the session. A week or two where the House of Representatives hears the summations and casts its votes.

Working against voter suppression is job number 1. It has to be done on the ground.

Some good ideas there.  My latest car purchase, this summer, was partly done with poll transportation in mind.  We have a fair number of people out here who have some difficulty getting to their polling station.  I will be available all voting day, and during the early voting period.

How is your voting district burdened by voter ‘ suppression’?
