Tucker Carlson in trouble for saying something REDSTATEWARD says on this board all the time:

https://www.newsweek.com/firetuckercarlson-trends-fox-news-hosts-advertisers-include-pillow-company-caribbean-resorts-1453174

Maybe he has changed his mind after the shootings.  But we wouldn't know, as the only thing he has posted since was 6 day old news about a DNC lawsuit.

After news broke that he was hosting a $250,000 a head fundraising luncheon in the Hamptons for Trump the owner of the Dolphins and SoulCycle felt the need to clarify that he supports Trump for the Tax Cuts not the Racism:

I have been, and will continue to be, an outspoken champion of racial equality, inclusion, diversity, public education and environmental sustainability, and I have and will continue to support leaders on both sides of the aisle to address these challenges.

Ok.  Thanks for that.  But sorry, if you support a racist whose ideology is leading to deadly violence so that your already over-sized portfolio gets a little fatter, you are not a "champion of racial equality."  Full stop.

The Ross School of Business Building in Ann Arbor is one of the most beautiful academic buildings I've ever seen.

Mia Love:  "It should have been (remained) a private moment"

Yep.  But the mayor and Sen. Brown commented - which provoked a Trump rebuttal.

Why did they comment?  The PRESS asked them to, I'd imagine.

Should have been private, indeed.  All accounts - including by the mayor - say Trump handled that part well.

Should have been private, indeed.  They forced his hand, and the President just happened to have a cameraman and a producer at the ready to cut and put out a campaign style video of the visit to release within two hours of it as a "rebuttal."  Yeah.  That's the ticket.

Still not as disturbing as their need to "rebutt" (ie lie about) a completely accurate description by Sherrod Brown and the Dayton Mayor and the need of a Trump spokesperson to say he was "greeted like a rock star" by victims of a mass shooting and their grieving and worry-stricken families.

Moments like these make it clear why people suffering from debilitating narcissism can not and should not be President of the United States.

Re:  governing style

Trump's a different cat

In way, so was Obama

You have to accept that

See....this is the problem

Ross shouldn't need to explain AT ALL why he supports Trump.

"Governing style".

Good one.

Well, that's what it is - a differing style.

For eight years we were told how much we HATED Obama, when no - most of us really didnt - and still don't.

But now the shoe is on the other foot - and we see what real hatred of a government official is - and the results.  Ridiculous levels of strife amid inane finger-pointing.

Oh well.  At least we have an economy that is booming like we've never seen before!
Thank heavens we do.
It most likely will prevent the democrats from folllowing the political suicidal strategy of Bernie, AOC, and the democratic socialists ready to drive the country  into a ditch while singing the
“ Internationale”.

Yes!  The economy is great and a political winner!  Which is why Trump's political messaging is all about how great the economy is and does not at all depend on sowing racial divisions to stoke his base.

Or maybe Mr. Trump knows something you don't.

That is a problem.  But who do you think owns that problem?

Because if you think anyone is to blame other than Trump for Ross needing to explain why he supports him, your thinking is off.

Obama faced real hatred, and you don't need me to post examples of that here unless you had your head completely up your ass for eight years.  And yes, people do hate Trump.  Racism does seem to inspire strong feelings.

I was thinking about how Republicans and FOX apologists are saying its so unfair to try to hold Trump accountable for a mass shooting in which the killer's manifesto literally quoted Trump's language after Trump was warned that language was dangerous.  This after eight years when they claimed that minorities were going to rise up in a race war and start killing cops every time Obama brought up the subject of race relations in the US...I'm not sure you want to start comparing the Obama years to what Trump faces now.

And no, who a politician chooses to appeal to is not a matter of "style."  It is a matter of substance.  Trump's choice to stir race-based hatred and white nationalism to inspire his supporters to vote for him speaks substantially to who he is and where he wants to take this country.

You have no problem with that direction.  Others do.  Saying its a disagreement over "style"...thats being willfully idiotic.  Which is as good a description of Trump supporters in general as I can come up with.

I think you need to separate the term "Trump supporters" from those that happened to vote for him and may very well do so again.

It is on the Democrats to put forth a good option.  Then those who voted for Trump can decide once again.
