The Pentagon blames Trump for the return of ISIS in Syria and Iraq.

I am sure that will go over well with President Trump.

Russia and Assad will take care of Syria.

Time the People of Iraq [25 million population] were made fight for their own freedom.
No more American lives must be lost doing it...far too many have been already.

Josh. What are you doing to attract more women to this site? We only seem to get angry men here.

Elba needs greater diversity, don't you think?

We get a lot of (apparently) female members, but you folks keep wanting me to delete their posts and to block them!

More to the point, I'm the Global Moderator, not the Marketing Director. Further, I am not the one who chased away either the woman from Seattle or the one from Virginia. And if you were a woman, would you want to hang out with a bunch of angry men?

Besides, any of the women I am likely to be able to get to join you, Hamilton, will just accuse of being part of the so-called Boston Mafia when they call you on your bullshit.

If you promise to behave, I will see what I can do, since it sounds like you don't have any female friends. (Mind you, if they come on to the board and spout racist crap, I will likely call them on it, but I will try to be polite about it. At first, at least.)

You talk the talk, but don't walk the walk

Quote
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
~Pastor Martin Niemöller

So, don't tell me about how the Hispanics are different from the Jews. Don't try to explain to me how Donald Trump is different from Adolf Hitler. Don't try to explain to me how these detainment camps have been different from the 1930s concentration camps run by the Germans prior to Kristallnacht.

I will speak out for the Hispanics, for the Homosexuals, for the Transmen and Transwomen, for the Disabled. And I will want to know why you are not speaking out against somebody whose excuse is "they were breaking the law," as if the law were moral and as if they were equally banal, but certain, in their judgment against those in power who break the law, which they most assuredly are not.

And no, even if your read of the economy were correct (which it is not), "I support the group responsible for atrocities because I like their economic and immigration policies" is still a morally bankrupt position.

Nor is it a matter, as Luee and Ward and Ham like to put it, of your disagreeing with me about politics. It is a matter of human decency. Or perhaps I should say inhumanity.

Wait. What? Are you linking me in with anti-Semitism?

When did that happen, Professor? You've been chewing on your beard too much lately.

When the GOP did this with Vince Foster and Seth Rich was pumped up by the Russians, you were in a lather.

Why not wait until more is known? Conflicts with your leftist political agenda?

You're the kind of Democrat who costs us elections.

Mikie Sherrill took GOP rubber-stamper Rodney Frelinghuysen's place in Congress as part of the blue wave in 2018.

She's a sensible Democrat.

Chinese authorities condemned violent weekend demonstrations in Hong Kong as “deranged” acts that marked the emergence of “the first signs of terrorism” in the semiautonomous city, vowing a merciless crackdown on the perpetrators.

The escalating rhetoric from Beijing followed a day of heated protests in Hong Kong, including the hurling of petrol bombs, and came as thousands of protesters gathered at Hong Kong’s international airport on Monday, prompting officials to cancel all flights for the rest of the day apart from those already en route to the air-travel hub.

“Radical Hong Kong protesters have repeatedly used extremely dangerous tools to attack police officers,” a spokesman for the Chinese government’s Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office told a news briefing on Monday, according to Chinese state media. “The first signs of terrorism are starting to appear.”

While many of you are obsessed with Russia, the far greater threat to the world and to the USA is China. Better wake up.

Here you go, yank. Something perhaps more palatable to you than contemplating the fact that there are six Chinese for every one American.

Make many happy. To separate his erratic and abrasive personality from party agenda. Is it realistic?

1.386/0.325 comes to 4.26, not six. Four and a quarter Chinese for every one American.

Wine can give you a math hangover.

The beauty of HamiltonIII, or whatever name it happens to be posting under, is the complete lack of a sense irony it possesses.
