If it becomes a basket case, it won't be able to assist anyone, in any way...inside or outside its borders.
The roads are already carparks, there isn't enough housing for everyone, people are starving-eating out of garbage bins, there are cities overrun with garbage in the streets, people living under tarps on the streets...etc.
Brining in millions more needy people gonna?

(a) It's already a basket case and the rest of the world knows it.

(b) I told you that you were full of shit on the "not enough homes" line, but you neither believed me nor bothered to look up the facts for yourself, which is par fo the course for you. So... "The short answer is that there are roughly 18,600,000 vacant homes in the United States as of February 2014. There are 600,000 Americans who experience homelessness on any given night, making the amount of vacant homes six times the amount of individuals without a place to sleep at night."

It has not changed significantly in the interening 5.5 years.

(c) We have the solutions to the trash on the streets and the homeless folks. We choose not to deal with it. We also have the solution to poverty and we choose not to deal with that, either.

(d) "The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) said 116,000 people were homeless on census night in 2016, representing 50 homeless people per 10,000."

In the US, it's 17 homeless people per 10,000. Shut the fuck up and deal with your own problems, asshole.

What happened to that commitment to try to increase the quality of your posts?!

And now kid portrays Epstein as a figure worthy of pity?

He was a predator monster who took the easy way out.

Epstein was treated like a DOG

And you guys are OK with this.

Sad.

That you think Epstein was treated like a dog is what is sad.

He was given a free ticket out of a long jail sentence and allowed to resume his life of ease, which he did in addition to returning to his prior nefarious activities.

Was the end of his life appropriate? No. Has anybody suggested it was?

Just you.

Bambu, yes, it is the responsibility of the USA to take in the homeless from all over the world. The USA stands alone as the only nation which belongs to all of humanity, and which has a Statue of Liberty welcoming the homeless. The USA is for everyone. We in the USA have the only nation that is for everyone.

We in the USA are different than the rest of the world.

And some parts of the USA are crowded and expensive, such as New York, Florida, and California, but most of the USA is wide open and cheap, Nevada is cheap, Montana is cheap, Nebraska is cheap, Idaho is cheap, Wyoming is cheap, Colorado is cheap, Texas has a lot of cheap land, etc, etc, etc. The USA has a lot of wide open and cheap land.

Here is a link for a 10 acre lot for sale in Battle Mountain, Nevada, for $19,000.00, that is less than two grand per acre.

http://tinyurl.com/Battle-Mountain-Nevada

The USA has a lot of wide open cheap land.

People from Venezuela can pour into Battle Mountain, Nevada, and they can have an immigrant community, and they can help each other. Anaheim was founded by a bunch of German families who came to California from Germany, they worked together and other immigrants can do the same thing. The immigrants can join together and help each other. They can dream about the communities that they can create, and they are free to come to the USA and succeed. That was how the USA was built. Immigrants came to the USA and worked together to build the USA, and they achieved their dreams and they raised their children in a free nation.

Yes, the USA is for everyone, and yes, the USA welcomes the homeless from around the world. And we have lots of cheap, wide open land.

California, New York, and Florida, are very expensive, but the new immigrants do not need to start off in the most expensive areas, they can form communities in Nevada, etc. And Las Vegas is set up to be a huge city, with Hoover Dam, Vegas has lots of water and lots of cheap and clean electricity, Las Vegas, Nevada, is a great place for new immigrants. And Nevada has great schools. You do not need to start at the top, you can start with a village in Battle Mountain, and you could have a nice little village to raise your children, etc.

The USA is for everyone, and we have plenty of open and cheap land for the immigrants.

Also, Detroit is welcoming new immigrants, Detroit City Council Woman Raquel Lopez wants the new immigrants from the Southern Border of the USA to come to Detroit.

The USA is for everyone, and we have plenty of room.

Salute,

Tony V.

Funny how Kid is so concerned about the treatment of a wealthy pedophile and pimp by our justice system that he posted about it, but seems okay with thousands of frightened refugees being locked up like animals, including small children, or unarmed people of color being executed by police officers.   That has to be one of the most skewed perspectives on justice I've ever seen.

We're talking about America.
I'm quite happy to talk with you about what's wrong with Australia anytime you like.

The 18,600,000 vacant homes are not available for the homeless, obviously.
A rough guess would be that any millions more poor and needy immigrants wouldn't have access to those homes either.
So 600,000 homeless would quickly turn into 3,600,000.

No.  Not at all.

I just think there needs to be a consistency in treatment of those awaiting trial.

Disagree?

He was the one example you chose to champion. A pedophile predator monster, who if not for the reporting of the free press would have gotten off with a sweetheart deal and would have continued his monstrous predatory practices.

Consistency in treatment?

You fool no one.

Just curious how one answers "not sure" to the poll question.   I would think that would be something you'd remember.

Kid, glad to hear you are concerned about fair and equal treatment of people awaiting trial.  I couldn't tell before, when we were discussing how the poor and minorities are treated by our legal system.   You were so quiet when the topic wasn't impartial justice for wealthy pedophiles.   Maybe you were just typing real small?
