Four Catholic men and a Catholic woman were having coffee in St. Peters Square.
The first Catholic man tells his friends, "My son is a priest, when he walks into a room, everyone calls him 'Father'."
The second Catholic man chirps, "My son is a Bishop. When he walks into a room people call him 'Your Grace'."
The third Catholic gent says, "My son is a Cardinal. When he enters a room everyone bows their head and says 'Your Eminence'."
The fourth Catholic man says very proudly, "My son is the Pope. When he walks into a room people call him 'Your Holiness'."
Since the lone Catholic woman was sipping her coffee in silence, the four men give her a subtle, "Well .........?"
She proudly replies, "I have a daughter, slim, tall, 38" DD bust, 24" waist and 34" hips.
When she walks into a room, everybody says, "Oh My God."

Four priests are sitting on a park bench.

The First priest says, "We should all confess our most grievous sins to each other. That way, if something happens to any of us, we are all prepared to meet the Lord."

The others agree, and the second priest says, "Well, I'm a terrible gambler. Been taking the church coffers down to the track and betting the ponies with it. I feel so ashamed."

The others say, "Don't worry. The Lord will forgive."

The third priest says, "Well, I'm a terrible drunk. I'll even say an extra Mass just to get another cup of wine. I really need help and the Lord's forgiveness."

The others say, "Don't worry. The Lord will forgive."

The fourth priest says, "Well, I, uh...I'm a terrible sex addict! I get all the girlie magazines and I watch porn and I've seen prostitutes, even. I hope Jesus will understand and forgive."

The others say, "Don't worry. The Lord will forgive."

Finally, everyone turned back to the first priest and said, "This was your idea. And we all feel better having confessed our most grievous sins to each other. What is YOUR most grievous sin, Father?"

The first priest replied, "Oh, me? I'm a terrible gossip!"

Joel Osteen faces criticism on social media for closing Houston megachurch's doors amid Harvey

http://abcnews.go.com/US/joel-osteen-faces-criticism-social-media-closing-houston/story?id=49480146

------

They need to remember Matthew 25; 31-46, which says that which we do for God's people, we do for God.

All Christians need to help other people who are in need.

And in God's house the Lord will provide.

He was embarrassed into opening them. There were plenty of mosques that had opened to the people well before Osteen, too.

Mexico is our good Christian neighbor, and Mexico wants to help our hurricane victims, we should all work together, and we need to have a "Good Neighbor" policy with our good Christian neighbors.

Be a part of the process!

All are welcome to attend Anaheim's Homeless Policy Working Group meeting this Friday at 8:30 a.m. at Anaheim West Tower, 201 S. Anaheim Blvd. (Check the info on the city website.)

The group aims to find a balanced approach to addressing homelessness in our community.

More at http://www.anaheim.net/2374/Addressing-Homelessness .

------

I had a buddy who used to drive around in a van, with a female social worker, and they would pick up the homeless people and they would give them rides to the shelters, and from the shelters they would take them to MHA in Santa Ana in vans and they would help to register the people for Medi-Cal, and for Social Security, and for disability help, and for Section 8 housing, and for Shelter Plus Care, etc.

And along with Federal, State, and County, programs and aid, Anaheim is also a wealthy city.

Anaheim has a lot of money coming in, and some of the money can be used to help the homeless people. And there can be places where the homeless people can meet to get rides to the shelters, for instance the homeless can meet at La Palma Park to get rides to the shelters, etc. Many things can be done to help the homeless people.

The Anaheim Resort District is only five percent of Anaheim's land, but generates almost fifty percent of Anaheim's general fund revenue.

And the Platinum Triangle will generate more and more income for Anaheim's general fund as the project grows and prospers.

Also, Anaheim owns Angel Stadium, and the Honda Center, and the Anaheim Convention Center, etc, etc, etc.

Anaheim also owns the electric company, and other utilities, and some money from that can go into the general fund, and some of that money can help the homeless people.

Anaheim is a wealthy city, and some of the wealth can be used to help the homeless people.

As more money comes into the city, then the city will have more money to address the issues such as helping the homeless people. There is a crisis because of the lingering bad economy, so the issue of homelessness is a big issue. And Los Angeles County can learn from Orange County.

I cannot make it to the meeting, so those are some of my thoughts on the issue.

For many people, their first job after overcoming homelessness is to help other people to overcome homelessness, many people train to help other homeless people as they themselves are being helped, and they go to work as social workers at MHA, and they manage shelters, and they work as drug and alcohol abuse councilors, and they do other jobs to help the homeless, some people may even become psychiatrists, and psychologists, and maybe even medical doctors, etc. Some people will bounce back from being homeless to do good things, some people just need help and a hand up, and then they themselves help other people.

I made a mistake yesterday, well, actually two...

First, I saw a lady carrying a big pot of tamales, and I should have carried the pot for her, that is what gentlemen do. We help ladies.

And then I saw a small, skinny mother with her child buying snacks at the store on the corner, and the lady could not buy the snacks because her card would not work, I guess that she did not have enough money on her card. I should have paid for her snacks, I should have bought the snacks for her and for her child. It is what gentlemen do, we help ladies and children.

And as a Christian I should have helped them.

I need to become a better man, and I need to take advantage of opportunities to be a good gentleman and Christian. I usually am a good Samaritan, but I missed a couple of opportunities yesterday.

You could take the money you would have spent on the snacks and send it to any of the agencies helping with disaster recovery - I might commend to you the folks hurt by the earthquake or by Katie.

I imagine Bangladesh would appreciate your money, too.
