WIRFS dropping

I don't see why the Jets took Becton over Wirfs.  That's a head scratcher.  I'm sure Tom Brady is happy Wirfs was there.

strange pick for the jints. Jets as well. Stuck in mediocrity. Out of play-offs forever.

I am not seeing one as measurably better than the other.

May have seen something they liked in the interviews.  I am almost CERTAIN Giants did with Thomas.

What was strange about the Giants pick, that it was OL or that it wasn't one of the other OL-men?

Three straight years now with Top 10 picks and the G-men take a RB a QB and an OT.

Hopefully set at these very important positions for the next 5 years.

Supposedly Thomas had the cleanest film, especially if you wanted a left tackle.

4 might have been a hard pick to sell, with the two teams needing QB sitting right behind. Who else was going to move up, that would not involve the Giants moving too far down? Besides, Gettleman's rep is he does not trade down.

I wanted Thomas or a trade down, but the Browns analytics really like Willis. Or so they say. I am just hoping they didn't ask some homeless guy this time.

NFC East

The Dreadskins took Chase Young, and the G-Men took Andrew Thomas in a bid to slow him down.
Dallas got a really good WR in CC Lamb.  Maybe the #1 WR (although Ruggs and Jeudy were taken before him respectively)
Four picks later and without another WR being selected the Eagles drafted by some accounts a 2nd or 3rd rd WR.  The 5'11 Jalen Raeghor.

And whats with the Packers trading up to draft a QB?  Aaron Rodgers must be fuming.

Were you watching?

Reagor looks downright electric.

I dont read as much into the Packers situation that others do.  Pack had to take a QB soon - this year next, the year after....... and this guy was seen as a great value at the 26.

And if they suddenly start losing - and like what they see in camp/seesions with Love - Rodgers certainly has trade value- or they could just Brady him spring of  '21 or '22.

Reagor looks to be an all or nothing type asset. There are some weeks where he looks like what Percy Harvin was supposed to be, other weeks where he looks like what Percy Harvin actually was. His hands are shaky at best, his routes don’t match his movement skills, and he doesn’t play big. He has first round burst and big play potential, but there is so much more to it than that.

Philly gambled on his upside.  But seemed unnecessary with so many WRs available.  Simply a reach.

a)  they were taking a WR

b)  they liked him best

- kick returning likely factored in.  And I wouldn't be surprised to see him on quite a few WR screens and running plays

If he is a bust, good for us.  But has an NFL pedigree and I'd be surprised if he doesn't help them.

Coiuple of mocks I have seen have Patriots snagging Jake Fromm just ahead of Pittsburgh, at pick 100 (Steelers then grab an edge rusher)

I'd be OK wither way but I like Fromm.  Could be we are OK with Rudolph anyway.
