looking at the Browns as a pick'em, and Denver +7

have bet the Pats -3

think thats going to be a high-scoring game something like

Pats 38
Chiefs 31

Giants were 3-13 last year, and are now 1-5.

The Giants are not a good football team. They were not a good football team last year, and have not been a good football team in several years.

It should have been obvious to anyone with a brain they had far greater priorities than using the #2 pick in the draft on a running back if they really wanted to fix the team.

So I understand why that conclusion escaped you.

So its likely, absent readical change and some luck, they will not be a good football team next year.

So yes they got a good running back.

But that's all they got.

Enjoy Barkley in your fantasy play.

I bagged my league but my RBs were the Broncs rookie, White and McCaffrey (Bell was also on my autodrafted roster)

Not just any running back

Can't imagine if/when but I am sure you are ready to move the goalposts at any positive glimmer

Enjoy the process

I never move the goalposts, I don't have to.

I made the argument last year the G-Men had two options with regard to the #2 pick. 1) Identify the new franchise QB in a year where there seemed to be several good choices The Giants rarely draft that high and it seemed like a good time to pick Eli's succesor. 2) The other option was to trade down, and get additional picks to fill the several holes that were apparent. its possible that they could have gotten a good QB and a free high pick or two, for the #2 pick. An additional suggestion was to trade OBJ for maybe a #1 and a 3, or whaterver the market was for an all-pro WR/prima dona. There was a good opportunity for new management to rebuild on an accelerated time frame.

The Giants opted for a different path. There is no question that Barkley is a special talent, but I do not think he will change a bad team, with a declining QB into a post-season team. A path that will lead them deeper into the woods.

And they will get lost.

As i said picking Barkley was like installing a $25,000 audio system in a '72 Pinto.

Happy motoring.

"with Price"

Try "despite Price."

Visits to the hospital for stomach upset are also up.

Quote
#RedSox LHP Chris Sale reported a stomach illness today and was admitted to MGH for observation this afternoon. He will be kept overnight for evaluation and any further updates will be released when available.

He started feeling it after the game, Saturday. While he isn't traveling when the team does to Houston, they've made no determinations of what's going to happen yet.
