Apple trade -

Either you feel next year is also a wash - or you feel the replacement can somewhat replicate what E App has given you.

If the former - then the OTHER Eli has to be on the block, since you shouldnt foresee him being an effective QB in 2020-21.

But....

somehow I think its the latter.

Eli Manning is an untreadable asset. Not that he is not better than several other Quarterbacks, but the geams.with worse ones would not be interested in Manning.

Hmmm........

Not so sure

There are teams that are close - and not 100% thrilled with their current QB situation.

Could such a team rework their cap situation to fit Eli in?

Likely there is such as scenario - sure

At issue would be what the Giants demand and if that would then squelch the deal.

But again - if Gettleman thinks Giants can be a playoff team with Eli in 2019-20.......he stays anyway.

Eli's due $23M next year, then a UFA, so one has to wonder what team trades for an immobile 38 YO QB on the hope they can adequately protect him?

The speculation was the Jville and Coughlin might be a landing spot.

But with the Giants breaking up the D, (Apple, Harrison and who's next?) it seems next years draft might have to be dedicated to Eli's eventual replacement, defense with some O-line FAs added in.

There are a lot of holes on that team.

I'd still dangle OBJ to see what I could get for him.

He's a cancer that I've thought the Giants would be better off without.

Giants are being more than patient with Odell - but if overwhelmed with an offer, might send him somewhere.

Isnt the first superstar to act the fool when losing, thats for sure.

(They aint all Larry Fitzgeralds, I am sure you know)

I like the DT from HOU in first round next year.

He's acted like a fool since his one-handed catch.

and he believed the hype.

G-Men, Coughlin in particular, blew it by allowing it to continue, but TC was afraid for his job so he allowed the tail to wag the dog.

Damn shame.

should have traded him before they signed him to a golden anchor.

Not sure what this means.

I will let you retract if you like.

I'm perfectly comfortable with what I've posted.

Today and over the past few years, as they are perfectly consistent.

His 1-hadned catch went to his head and he's acted like a spoiled brat prima dona ever since.

I don't think he's worth the bullshit he brings to the Giants.

And more and more I hear more and more Giant fans come to the same conclusion.

the Giants are now attached to him with a golden anchor.

they should have traded him in the off-season.

You dont just trade a guy like that

Has to be a real bigtime offer.

The dude was on an 11 win team just 2 years back, recall.  Division sure is known to turn over.

Randy Moss says you have no fucking idea what you are talking about.

And Terrell Owens is just laughing at your cluelessness.

OBJ has been a a fucking narciscistic distraction for several years.

And you think it will improve if they bring in a roookie QB next year?
HAHAHAHAHA

You're delusional.

That you continue to view the NFL through a fantasy lens is fine, but its a fantasy.

Giants should shop him, admit a mistake was made, and salvage the situation.
