It was the Maroon 5 of Super Bowls.

Mad Dog called it "atrocious," , a "complete bore", and "unwatchable".

not the prettiest win I've seen but the D , both sides was dominant

What a great game. I was like a pig in mud watching all that great defense. It's too bad one of those defenses had to lose.

I had the same reaction. It really was the closeest thing we had to "old" school physical defense dominated football in awhile. The game really was trench warfare.

and for the most parts the refs let them play.
Your team won (Congratulations) but that does not change the fact that it was a dull, crappy game.
And the MVP was an offensive player proving, once again, without an offense a team can’t win.

Actually it just proves the biased mentality of the people giving it. And why the NFL has done its level best to legislate defense out of the game.

Great defenses are still finding ways to fart to the rulesmakers face. The best defense one.

Lovin it.

Had your team been on the short end of a defensive 13-3 game, I can assure you no one would have uttered the word "Unwatchable".
Peace and Prosperity, Banks!

A sage observance.

The whole world hated the game except New england fans.

Should tell something to the New england fans.

If they have frontal lobes.

LOL. Now that's smack.

BTW, I liked the game. Hated the results, but liked the game.

Of course you feel that way.  Nobody disagrees with their own id.

I had no dog in the hunt. It was about as watchable as MSU beating Rutgers 14 - 10. Which is to say, not at all unless you know one of the players personally.

To the best of my recollection, I've seen every SB played, even "wide-right" from a hospital bed in New Hampshire (ski accident-collapsed lung-heavily medicated).

From reollection, there were a lot dog games in the first 20-25 years, and its only been the past 20 years where the games generally have been close/fun to watch. But having said that, of the recent vintage, mostly pretty entertaining, perhaps the worst was the Seahawks thrashing of the Bronco's 43-8, (SB 50). There was nothing redeeming, nor watchable  in that game. But i watched.

And folks like you would be talking about how wonderful the game was, Kam.

Maroon V would still have sucked.

If Patriots had lost 13-3 i'd still say it was a boring game.

Pats name former Rutgers HC, tOSU DC, and Belichick buddy Greg Schiano as new DC, filling the vacancy left by the Miami-bound Brian Flores.

Flores had his one shining moment.

And he got a five year contract out of it.
