The D was special and that wind was like a 12th man (for both sides).

But what was really special was the Bills kkew the pats would run and run and run, but the Pats O-line was dominant.

The Bills' press has been savage about that.

Rate the rookie quarterbacks.

Is Lawrence still at ONE?

ONE, meaning at the bottom?

I think at this point, and the sample size is still real small, and the learning curve is steep, if there were to be a redraft of the 5 1st round rookie QBs they might be drafted this way

Lawrence
Mac Jones
Fields
Lance
Wilson

IMO Lawrence's raw ability and college resume edges Mac Jones skills and smarts, but its close.

IMO, Mac JOnes is only looking as good as he does because BB knows how to coach better than anyone and he knows how to put a great O-Line together. If you had put Daniel Jones with the Pats and Mac Jones with the Giants, you'd have a positive outlook on Daniel and a negative on on Mac.

COACHING makes the difference, and so does who is UP FRONT.

Carry on.

BB is a great coach, and BB and MacDaniels have generally put Mac in a position to succeed.

and you'll never see me argue against the importance of an O-line.

Never.

Which was a central argument in my saying putting Saquon behind a No-line was dumb and a waste of an asset.

The Pats struggled early this season when they had O-line injuries. But Mac still showed pretty good promise under stress and he does have a decent resume winning big games. And if the Pats can win with a smart QB who is accurate but doesn't have a cannon for an arm, or isn't a scrambling magician making magic throws, so what?

This game is about the W not the stats.

As to comping the Jones, I haven't seen a lot from Danny Drops yet, but he may have a stronger arm than Mac, but weaker fingers and can't hold onto the football.

After the 2018 season, the best QB from the 2018 draft was Baker Mayfield. After 2019 it was Lamar Jackson. After.2020 if was Josh Allen. This year they are all struggling.  I would pump the brakes on ranking the QBs for now.

Re:  Barkley and that decrepit Giants line -

I imagine he'd have had 2500 yards plus in 2018 if the line were any good - maybe even 3000, eh, Banks?

kid its not my concern that you didn't understand the weaknesses of the team you root for.

or the values of real football players in winning real football games.

And I don't follow fantasy football so if you say the Barkely would have rushed for 3,000 yards in '18 with a decent O-line, I imagine he'd be a very impactful fantasy player.

best of luck with that.

IMO the interesting thing is the flood of new QBs over the past few years replacing the dinosaurs of the early 00s. Except for Tyranno Tom  in Tampa, and BenTosaurus in Pitt, Adds a lot of uncertainty every week.
